What is the extent of new sponsors that aren't already connected to racing-look at every new sponsorship and in almost every case there is a link to an existing owner/ breeder/ sponsor
The penetration of racing into new and unchartered territory is very little.
Regarding Vee Moodly - he may well be a little narcistic but he has the intelligence to take "P" where it needs to be IMO.
His problem is that he doesn't have the Steinhof connection that the encumbent has!

They lost the battle and the war, the courts ruled against them, and the Gambling Boards
have all licenced the bookmakers to lay the Open Bet. This is not going to change.
They all just need to accept that.

To blame bookmakers and the open bet for all of Racing's problems is absurd - Mismanagement and "The Old Boys Club" mentality is the cause of the dilemma. The Bookmaker's business is based on risk management while Phum is based on turnover - Phum should concentrate on developing their client base instead of trying to close down a profession that has been around way before any Tote has

Exactly no need to cry over spilt milk....however the aggressive stance to lump all their woe's on the bookies is not winning favours with their customer base and is alienating those bookies that wanted to share....look how many have recently booted out TAB terminals and put in their own software and systems to now really capitalise on the open bet.....they could have had both..... betting lounges catering for TAB and a bookie....it was all about attitude and a disregard for the bookmaking profession....now still continuing to wage this war are taking bigger casualties in loosing betting rights and picture feeds from Hong Kong and who knows where else.....we the customer must suffer as the biggest casualty too....what a bunch of tw@ts.....tried to fight dirty and landed up covered in sh!t.....:X

It is a bit like the English who are still hoping that FIFA will decide that
Maradonna's 1986 "hand of God goal" be disallowed and that England
will be awarded the World Cup for 1986.
Move on....

Thanks to Robert for highlighting this thread. Without ABC we would probably have only picked up a few signatures. I am hoping to get 1000 signatures and then get it hand-delivered to the Phumelela offices.

Harris,I've just signed this petition and sincerely hope you/we get that 1000 votes(tu)
If we don't,maybe consider this;
Plan B...all punters take to the streets with placards and toy-toy for a week:D
or
Plan C...we just take the easy way...
...get some tyres and necklace all the Phumelela BIG SHITS:)o
