Hong Kong is lost and it`s the bookies to blame !

RELEASED BY: Tellytrack Partnership

With immediate effect Tellytrack will not be able to show races from Hong
Kong.

Tellytrack CEO John Stuart clarifies the new position in a public
statement, "The Hong Kong Jockey Club as a principle do not want
bookmakers, whether in SA or anywhere else, betting on their product. As
such, and as we still have bookmakers potentially receiving the Hong Kong
pictures, including the Phumelela owned Betting World, the picture has to
be removed from all channels. This will continue until an alternative
technical solution can be found to allow TAB bettors to continue to enjoy
the product".
Tellytrack are consequently giving notification that televised screenings
of Wednesday and weekend racing from both the HKJC racecourses of Sha Tin
and Happy Valley have been discontinued pending further developments.

And they allowed it for how many YEARS ???

Create another fallacy regarding why ???

So I assume they will stop broadcasting to Aus and NZ also...countries which supply the majority of their horses...world gone mad...cutting noses to spite their faces...

Wonder if they will stop the UK showing racing from HK?

Now that things are going from bad to worse P now sign off as Tellytrack "partnership". Imagine being in a partnership with those cowboys. This is going to be one of those classics where some walk away with the 50 M they made and smoke rises from the carnage that remains and static comes from the TV soundtrack.

The bottom line is very sad times
It started for me with no scrolling fixed odds betting
Then selected international races, hong kong over Cheltenham, not that I have anything against HK but I was delighted to see the world class coverage for day one of the festival and then it was switched off and I lost total interest and I am sure a potential big tote market was lost and to add salt to the wound I understand that the replays were show:X

Ps

The only place in the eastern suburbs of Pretoria to watch Cheltenham would have been betting world at water glen ( will try and get a few pics of this dive)
Not even a cold drink or a sandwich for these punters is offered
Maybe mrs S should go passed on her next charity drive

wow so the poor local punter that has to rely on his free TAB sheet will not be able to have a punt - I will miss going to my local CNA and picking up my copy of Computaform Hong Kong - Hope the French decide to go the same way too - Racing is meant to be a game of skill and these venues that really only can be tackled by a person with the Internet should be binned - At least for the UK you can use Computaform UK(though also only on the net) - I enjoy watching the HK racing but really if I have more than two bets there a year then its a lot - How on earth could it be possible that Racing HK did not know we had bookies and the open bet here? I do really hope this notion spreads to NGONG

The mind boggles.... This whole TT debacle is either the worst piece of tactical monopolistic warfare I've ever seen or actions of complete incompetence ... Or both!

These clowns must have gone to the same school of diplomacy and leadership as Putin!

Has always been my stance for the "punters"
Give them a chance to punt established markets with established form and the tote turnover will improve
I don't think I have ever seen a post in favour of Ngong or Sweden and they did a "survey"?
For example they got rid of Jimmy! and not Ngong ( do me a favour)
I need a drink!
