Unfortunately there is no cure for The Green Monkey Syndrome - Maybe when he tries ground at Kenilworth ?

Well it doesn't look like our NZ bred, Brutal Force's place in the history books are in any danger at this stage. He will be the one they remember ;)

Wasn't too bad. If you take out either him or the winner we would have been impressed at winner being 8l ahead of the field especially with the 3rd horse having some form.

Guys it took Pocket Power about 5 starts or more to win a Maiden.... Don't write this horse off, he was staying on nicely and I think he is going to be a smart classic horse this season. He will improve with every run!

Dont think it was that bad a run.. In fact I think Cormack would have done better to let him use his action, result would have been different. We far to quick to build up horses and write horses off.

True flaunt, but PP cost R190 000 back then, don't know how much that wud be in todays market, its all about expectation, R5mil u expect a machine that'll hit the ground running but we'll see what the future holds..

you need to look at the world as a whole. what was the rand/exchange back then? what was the price for a well bred horse on an overseas sale? my point is times have changed, the past is gone, its a pointless debate, lets give the horse another 1 or 2 chances and make a call then. there is no upside to putting our heads on a block now? you can clearly see by watching the replay that the horse was learning more about racing the last 150 metres. the other point that nobody is touching on is what kind of form Joey Ramsden has been in?
