OP tried so hard to compete with able-bodied athletes only because he had an inherent advantage (read articles by Dr Ross Tucker) but now it is put forward that his disability would disadvantage him if he were to be imprisoned...

From a young age he wanted to be seen as some-one without a disability but now it is the fall-back to avoid the harshest consequences for his actions...

Talk about wanting to have the best of all circumstances !!

Hekkie Strydom sitting with the Steenkamps for the last 2 days... I hope justice gets done at the end of the day, the poor girl is dead at the end of the day!

I see the Steenkamps have rejected R375000 as "blood money",offered by Oscar
Trying to understand why the R6000 pm they took,is different???

The way I see it it matters not a dot if he gave them money and/or they accepted it as that would eventually be part of a Civil Claim - Paying the family should not influence the Judge imho - She needs to look at the damage a light(non-custodial) sentence would have on society - Even the Jub Jub needs to serve time and he was in a drug haze when he committed his crime - This chap did not learn from his other episode in the restaurant and his negligence was gross. He needs to spend time in Jail

I agree 100% ,but that Bulls player who killed the Metro cop in Pretoria, stayed out of jail by paying the family R750,000(from memory)............obviously defence decided it was a precedent worth following?????

(I am surprised they ever took his R6000 per month!!!!!)

Someone died and I have the utmost respect for the dead and sympathy for the people involved.. But this is crazy, from the OPs ridiculous version, nearly every thing OP did that night was weird, his actions were just weird! Up until today and yesterdays testimonies.. They shud pass oscars bucket this way, coz I felt nauseas to the core and pit of my stomach.. Oscar being painted as the victim, he was ryno the main ou when he pumped four of those bullets in a door knowing a human was behind it, knowing what that type of bullet dus to the human body.. Now he is a broken man etc etc.. Spare me please!

She is looking very bad on the stand. I think the judge is going to disregard her testimony

She is an embarrassment, I think it is the last time she will ever be called as an expert for anything! She is doing more damage for Oscar than good, me thinks!
