probably out of parole in 1 or 2 years. Only he knows what truly happened that night.
The 4 shots fired vs maybe a warning shot is still a big thing in my mind. He intended to kill. The sentence is too light imo, but its over now. I sincerely hope the Steenkamp family have better days to come in their lives.

Mr H... as you know I have enormous respect for thee... but if you don't want to do the time don't do the crime and I don't care what jails are like in SA. Reeva won't even have the chance now to commit a crime and see what it is like in jail for a month. I still say (just mhonesto) he is guilty of murder or being the most stupid, inconsiderate plank to ever exist, 50 years would have been more appropriate.

We cannot mistake the Law & Justice however in my opinion the various incidents and altercations with various people including police officers as well as the circumstances surrounding the evening of the fatal shooting form a clear picture in my mind of the perpetrator.
The sentence will be appealed however 10-15 years would have been appropriate. So many incidents, so many lies, so many scared ex-girlfriends, so many physical altercations........... are they all lying?

The court has given OP the benefit of the doubt on almost every aspect...from his version to verdict (and interpetation of dolus eventualis) to sentencing...
My final contribution on the matter...
I will use an accounting analogy...the only balance sheet that balances perfectly is that of you own life...the assets in your life are you, your parents, your siblings, your children and your spouse...the liabilities in your life are all the ills you inflict upon anything of this earth...the liabilities in you life will settle against ANY of the assets in your life to leave residual equity for the future...so tread carefully in whatever we do so that on our death we leave our remaining assets as much equity as possible with which to grow...

once again it proves that there is one law for the rich and famous and another for the rest. Money makes the world go round, world go round

CnC, correct but in SA we have a second set of laws. The set of laws for the criminals and then for law abiding citizen. Amazing how white collar theft carries more weight than a persons life !
