Is sentencing 5 years ,with right from the outset,with a strong likliehood of serving 10 months,according to the defence.
A sentence should be just that 5 years or 10 months..............................turning 5 years into 10 months is just smoke and mirrors IMO.

The other point that is hard to understand is that the court accepted OP's unintention to kill, based on "if I wanted to kill ,I would have aimed higher???????

He shot often on the range and he would have known that the torso is the biggest target and Dum-Dum bullets would do the rest...................and they did!

I can just see it now. He has his own cell, with satellite tv, private chef, bed will be made for him, his bath water will be run for him, the morning papers will be delivered and he will have a choice of X Box or PS4. He will have his mobile, laptop the works with him. Maybe he will even become a member of ABC. People who fail to pay taxes go to jail for longer.

I am saddened that no one on here has mentioned the poor hard working women of the ANCWL who were there, day in day out, supporting the victim's family....LOL

These poor hard working women will now have to travel to Cape-Town ( seeing who they work for it will be business class flights all the way ) to support Annie Dewani's family in that other high profile bore-and-yawn case....LOL

I certainly hope their paymasters will put them up in the Cape Grace hotel or something similar....

Oh no, not for these women to attend the smaller cases where the common woman gets beaten to death or raped repeatedly. They choose the big stuff so that they can be seen all over the world on TV.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....
