we shall see. another 15 yards at Marinesco wins that race now imagine over 2000. Its a case of how many lengths Marinesco beats legal Eagle by. PS our two posts will be saved and we shall revisit them a minute after the met.
Deal Chicken! 1 thing I'll tell you know, its exactly as Magi puts it,the Competition must HOPE and PRAY LE draws bad,coz if anywhere near a good draw...Marcus will do a HILL54 on them... Lead...slow it up...and kick away....
Different race ...different pace.

Lovely debate I must say.
However LE can't slow it down and kick away when Marinaresco's around. Slow pace, fast pace he can quicken off anything! You saw a glimpse today. As I expected and wrote on the first page, LE just won and the QP, Met will be a changing of the guard.

Agree Master....M has a cracking turn of foot....but you forgetting 1 thing....The Met is a BIG field...in all the top races M has run, with big fields he is always close to last, which means far of LE....and Marcus will lead or shit just of the leader...they will be near level weights....he will need rockets to get past LE from 'that' distance:)

^ Good good points. All valid and I agree somewhat if he is kept that far..
Do you know what I think the Marinaresco team did today? They sussed LE out...now they know where they have to place M to beat LE. He won't be that far back in the QP, Met I guarantee you. Plus even if LE wasn't 100% I assure you M wasn't close to 100% either...
Anyhow...Can't wait for the next meeting!

Heinrich, you seem to know everything as your initial post suggest. So I pledge a bet to you, not through any bookie, but between us men, and I trust if you accept this bet, it will be stood in good stead. If LE wins both the QP and Met, I will donate R500 to the ECHU, if Marinaresco wins both, you donate R500 to the ECHU.... you on?
Are you living your life or waiting to die?

Not saying Marineresco wont beat LE at some point but its not a given by any stretch. He ran up close threateningly today but once he got there he wasn't making progress as LE gave more. Horses that have a lightning turn of foot are always more impressive than the one that keeps going from handy and I suspect Marineresco will run a few more seconds in races that he looked like he was going to win. If he runs more handily, will he have the same burst?
Nevertheless, still the most exciting prospect for the coming season, or at least the summer as a he might be off to Trumpland (tm) at the end of it.

See his Winter Classic win. Raced very handy there and had tons in hand at the finish. Okay didn't beat much but did it in his usual manner plus showed he can race handy.
