Sorry to disappoint you guys, the three features races will go to Bass-Robinson/Marinaresco, Crawford/Quick Brown Fox and Crawford/Search Party. No if's or but's about it, you have been warned.
Just had an epiphany seeing that i am going on holiday, will take the treble with the three Aussie bred horses :-
R3) Ngaga X (R4) Lloyd's Legacy X (R7) Quick Brown Fox:woohoo

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Race 3 - Ngaga
thought she'd be more highly rated by the handicappers so could be well in.
Race 4 - Lloyd's Legacy
was uber-impressive LTO and should be good enough to follow through here. Don't often see Marcus making 55.5kgs.
Marinaresco - regulars will know what I think about this horse. I think he's the best horse in the country and by some distance. This is only a stepping stone to the QP and Met. Have loads of respect for the Eagle, he's a champion, but this may be his last chance to beat M.
Fillies Guineas - very open, very tough. Almost every horse has a winning chance bar maybe 3 or 4 runners IMO. Far cry from last year when I had one of my biggest ever bets in this race.
Sail 11/2, Safe Harbour 14/1
Sail purely because 3rd run after rest, seems to have improved from her 2yo season where she was up near the best. Knows the track well now and she'll be running at them. Proven to have no problem with bad draws in the past.
Safe Harbour always liked this filly. Actually tipped her for the Ready to Run in jhb and then she came out and won the Cape version! Only filly in the race that's beaten boys - and that was a strong race IMO. Great price about her and she's definitely in with a chance.
Hack Green 12/1, Orion Quest 33/1
Gotta give Hack Green another chance. He remains the only horse to beat the special Green Pepper. Back over 1200 he'll be fitter here, better off at the weights now and should bounce back to form.
Orion Quest is a horse I've followed since his maiden win and he's been super consistent. Probably the lesser fancied of the stable but he's been up against some smart sorts lately. Nice price.

According to the betting the Green Point is a boat race, not sure i could back Marinaresco to beat the likes of New Predator over 1600m?
9/1 NP looks huge?
Sail also bing supported for the guineas

I agree on NP being good value at those odds - both LE and Marinaresco likely to use this as a stepping stone towards the QP and especially the Met; imo this race has the possibility of throwing up a result that would have us shaking our heads ...

Agree .....this is not the race to settle the "who is best" debate!!!
