This pic was posted 10 days after her last start and was taken at the farm..given these FACTS how can anything posted here be even remotely libelous???
Give everything but up!

Looks underweight to my eyes.

Bob that is a very good question. I as an owner make sure together with the trainer that where the horse goes and how it is let down in a yard that knows the complexities of taking a horse out of racing is well managed. I have literally 100s of photos of my ex racehorses in their jumping yards or at stud. I always ask for the photos and if you send your horse to a respectable yard who specializes in this then all goes well.Of course there is now and then a hiccup or two and one needs to manage that..but as an owner I make sure the process is well managed..I cannot expect the trainer to do that as he/she has a job of training racehorses and not so much letting down and rehoming horses..that is my opinion and how I do it..no malice is meant towards anyone with another opinion, others might have different ways of doing it which is everyones perogative.

I remember a mate either gave or sold for a nominal fee a lovely Catain Al gelding to a young lady who was going to school him for jumping... He left he yard in impeccable condition but died 3 days later from colic ... The young lady changed his feed immediately and he died... so I would always caution that trainers explain this to buyers especially if they are novices...

I ask a simple question - why did it take so long to start this thread ?
7 weeks ago the horse arrived at the farm. If the farm loves their horses so much and really cares for them, whilst blaming the Trainer for the condition of the mare right now, I ask again - why did it take 7 weeks to open this thread ? What sparked it?
