maybe just maybe billy is not as good as you guys think.winning a maiden and post maiden in kzn to me is like winning a maiden in pe.kzn has many poor horses and billy beat those poor horses with ease, but now he is facing a better class of horse in the cape.it will be very tough for billy to win any races in the cape imo.

Just watched the race, and imvho opinion, SirP has it spot on... no doubt in my mind AD would ever have had the horse where it was after the start.... Its a front runner that doesnt like being passed, not a turn of foot sprinter... once again, just my opinion ofcourse...

on a line through true words - beaten a length or so by sacred flame - BS played with that horse on debut - I bet a few of those that he raced against last time will be going for gr 1 races this year and they are a class above those he faced today - probably an unsound horse

FYI

Dennis Bosch was on course today. Flew down for Billy Silver

After the drift and incorrect tactics I don't know what to make of it

Shame. I hope everything is ok with Billy. Small trainers don't get too many horses to get excited about.

they did not even bother to ask the vet to look ... maybe they thought it was a form run?

.....this horse blitzed a 1200m sprint..... on the hardest sprint course in the country.....yet was not put up front yesterday.....were they trying different tactics to keep him covered.....if so the trainer wasted a trip to the course.....

On my assessmdnt of the race i found nothing to suggest Billy Silver would be in the top two. Nasty Harry and evdn Magic Sailor showed far superior form. I went with Magic Sailor, since i figured it would be a bit of value. Nasty Harry winning was no surprise, and neither was Billy Silvers performance.
