So we have trainers racing horses illegally in the bush.

I wonder how many of those that race horses illegally have been under a cloud lately for doping offences? I wonder if any of the horses bust racing on the weekend are regular participants and who have in and out form? I wonder if any of these horses have ever had lameness issues? I wonder if all owners of these bush racers were aware that their horses were being utilised illegally?

I wonder whether the big mouths on here are involved? This will be very interesting.

Well done NHA!

Very good questions there OTA. My info so far is that a trainer can race there as the racing itself is 100% legal but not with horses that are registered to race under NHRA rules. The horse's cannot do both. NHRA can only suspend them for 90 days. Am saddling for a trainer at Greyville tomorrow so will find out more from the stipes. I have been given some names of trainers who do participate in bush racing with horses that are racing under NHRA rules at the same time. As you say it opens a whole can of worms as you can then throw the form book away as you don't know who has had an extra race or 2 between its last run.

I remember an owner on here said his horse won a bush race in between two runs I think one Kimberley and one Vaal

Can’t remember the horse but nothing was done .

I actually think the bush race was in Namibia

It will be interesting to read if the owners agreed to these extra events or if the trainer was trying to make a quick buck only for himself....
