Mike not sure if you are aware but they have in the region of 40 race meetings per weekend, the kids go to school.
They are a discipline nation generally speaking and if not mistaken have moved by one death in about the last 5 days.

I think I must be the only person who supports the lockdown. I would really hate to see Dave’s numbers if we did not have the lockdown. I say the numbers would not be a product of eight but the square of eight. Come guys, it is tuff.

Mac, the numbers are crap .... BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY ... 90% of the work force would shrug off the virus in a couple of days with no lasting effects... SECONDLY ...the virus is not going to get on an airplane and duck after X number of days, so after lock down the risks are the same.... the lock down was to provide the opportunity for health services to gear up for a rush on facilities.. three weeks was correct and thereafter it should have been business as (almost) usual.

you cannot fix a system that has been broken for 20 plus years in 2 months -Lucky this killer disease is not really the killer disease claimed by most governments - When antibody tests are freely available people will be shocked to find that they have had Covid without any major side effects - How is it possible that countries like India or Brazil or even South Africa(do we really believe that we stopped infections with masks curfews?) and etc are not flooded with deaths that fill Soccer stadiums - Sure it kills but very very selectively - So does the flu and that is not as selective

Definitely got to hand it to the Aussies, they have flat racing, harness racing, dog racing and yet the figures are so good for a population of about 25 million.
They don't take sheet lying down too,
Toilet paper was flying off the shelves.
Must have been a few toilet paper fights in the aisles too.

Re: Hong Kong for the hungry - Pony Prayers too.

Punting is a huge part of my life and the Coronavirus has done something I never thought possible. It brought global racing to a standstill. Never did I think that both British and SA racing would be unavailable as I always said racing is the one way to make a buck 24/7/365.

In need of place bet cover for my methods, the opening of some Australian, Irish and later French racing made no difference as these markets are unavailable at many bookies (places)...but Hong Kong was available! I found some form guides for Sha Tin and Happy Valley and got stuck in. My word has it been an eye opener! I have found the form in Hong Kong much easier to study and legitimately accurate. Took a day or two to understand the classes and track nuances and it has been plain sailing from there. As a fellow punter I want to suggest to the fellas who haven't considered Hong Kong, to give it a full go.

Hoping SA and UK returns soon, but Hong Kong will be my weekly warm desert, with creamy custard, twice a week. All of the best to the trainers and yards, people involved in SA - even Greeff (I am sure he has a few outsiders chomping at the bit for a run - laughs). Very difficult times for many. Hoping we unlock completely very soon, this is utter nonsense!

Cannot wait to have the forum full again and get one over on the bookies! UK set to start again 1 June from what I have read. For now, hang in there fellas, thoughts and prayers...

RIP to all the dear departed. These stats were loved ones and people who have now been reduced to numbers .
As an aside in Cape Town and Mowbray cemetery is filling up regularly, sadly.

Mike certainly no disrespect intended, have been doing for weeks and i have often mentioned that its scary and well aware they are linked to family and friends.

It just shows the global trend.
