STOP THE INSANITY
Article regarding MADagascar's Covid Brew
But this cannot possibly be true, said Shabir Madhi, professor of vaccinology at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Madhi is also a founder and director of the African Leadership Initiative for Vaccinology Expertise. “There is absolutely no evidence that it has cured anything,” he told the Mail & Guardian.
Madhi noted that Madagascar only has a small number of confirmed coronavirus cases (158 as of 7 May). “That’s definitely not enough for a trial. Citing these sorts of numbers is a meaningless exercise.”
He dismissed President Rajoelina’s claim that two people had been “cured” by the herbal remedy. “The majority of people who have this virus show no symptoms. Of those who develop symptoms, 85% of them have mild illness. You could treat them with water and it would have the same effect.”

Now if this Professor says Covid has no effect on on THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE who contract it-Why are we shutting down the World -

Are we still trying to race? Or just waiting on the dropping through the gears (Levels)

Dropping through the levels. No administrator here cares two hoots about horse racing.

It appears we still awaiting for the covid counsel to give the nod.
I am sure the racing authorities have been trying their best but no urgency from Government.
Cyril appears very chilled about dragging this out until the entire economy is destroyed.

Since the move from 5 to 4, there has not been a single day with less than 200 infections...and these are the massaged numbers...
The opportunity was lost around 20/21 March...at that time, 6 of the 9 provinces had less than 10 reported cases...but lockdown was announced for 26 March (likely because government employees get paid on the 25th and it would enable them to stock up before the lockdown...not much thought about elderly who were to receive grants a week later and are in greater need thereof than government employees their salaries)...
Those 5/6 days meant an increase in numbers in the low infected provinces and opportunity was lost to insulate those areas...while focusing all efforts and resources on the 3 provinces already with high and increasing infections...
So, we started lockdown 5/6 days too late and eased up too early...

If they are keen to disrupt a race meeting then the the EFF should be just as keen to reinstate a meeting for the same reasons.

VEE MOODLEY HOPEFUL FOR INCLUSION AT LEVEL 3
NHA negotiations with the government continue and the chief executive officer Vee Moodley is hopeful Horseracing will be included in the Level 3 list of industries that can resume operation.
He said, "Negotiations are being escalated, we are hopeful to be included at Level 3 - we are in the hands of the government. The president may be announcing some directions tomorrow or Friday and am hopeful that we are considered. I am sending further updates through mainstream media today (Wednesday)."
Moodley said the particular medium being used today for his message was yet to be confirmed.

i will start by saying insufficient information is in the public domain about Phumelela and all its subsidiaries to make any meaningful contribution to the discussion as to whether racing shoudl continue and also whether racing will survive a depression era economy.
my few takeaways from the press releases and statements made recently are:
1. gold Circle is in the pound seats with all negotiations. problem is they are negotiating no longer for a terminal patient but a corpse.
2. Slack entity money sounds great but with limited view of BRP process i would not have much hope aw a small owner until that process plays out
3. still to many chiefs at the steering wheel and to many of them not being booted.
4. with a 30% reduction in horse population goign forward will RACING SA be able to put on a daily meeting and in so meet their International meeting obligations.
5. i will only get excited when people who plundered racing since Phumelela came to be are brought before a commission of enquiry to answer for what they did.
