......little steps and early days....besides this track is tricky and is gonna throw some big results....and the kitty will grow until a bigger pot is available....

Mary Lamb and F Eight are the two contenders that interest me in the first. Both were running on strongly to the line in their last outing. Will have a nibble.....

I fancy Yaya Maria a bit at the odds - because of the draw, more places than wins :dry:

Race 1 looks pretty open if you look beyond the favorite.Money for a few runners at present.I like playing the outsiders....
The one I'm now also interested in is WAYWARD GIRL.... HB offering 3/1 for 5 places currently. Will have a stab on it... Play well....

The pen reading is reported as 21, and rainfall just 10mm the past week. We had a hectic storm over the weekend, so I'm keen to see what the first race shows before I believe them.
race 1 Simply Beautiful gets a good draw and had solid form before a poor run in very wet going last time. Is 4.5kg better than WFA against the 3yos, so must be respected. Many with one or two good runs and it depends on how much improvement they make.
Race 2 A match race between Baratheon and Light Speed. If Baratheon adopts the same front running tactics, he will be hard to catch, and I think he is the right one.

Would be a 5-1 shot if she had a draw, but I agree is a value play at 12's.

Eish... F Eight brings back the outlay... we soldier on...

Race 3 Tough Terrain finished just behind Not in Doubt last time, but should have more scope for improvement. They have nice draws so should be the two. Release Me has a tough draw but a good debut and if he gets luck in the running could pop up.
race 4 Aussenkehr good improvement last time and is the one to beat after the scratching of Max the Otter. Furie Nocturne and Master Josh the dangers among the raced runners.
Race 5 Open race. My short list is Beneath the Moon; Call it Fate;Costa Smeralda and Love is Rose
Race 6 Peut Etre Moi looks the one to beat at the weights. Fleeting and Maria Querol can do it if fit. Jasmine has now come down to a fair rating and can get her overdue second win.
Our filly Treasure Hunt is fit and well and likes this course. She is not that well in at the weights, but with question marks over the fitness of some of the runners, she could pop up.
race 7 Again the question is current fitness. trip of Fortune and Warrior are the two class horses if fit.
Race 8 Different Face gets a good draw and has run well this course. She is well in at the weights against Sonic Burst. Porque Te Vas, Distinction and La Vida make up my short list.
Race 9 Another open race. Heathcliff and On the Road Again make the most appeal.

Not a great start for me - I think Scalini is the value in the 2nd - seems held on official ratings, but he may be ahead of the handicapper
