Not directly related but wsb has this now maybe a more seasoned punter can explain to me why most book makers do the following:

I use decimal odds and on most bookmakers a price of 0.8/1 will be quoted at 1.8/ or 2.5/1 will be qouted as 3.5/1 it seems when theres no decimals like 3/1 then its qouted as 3/1 and not 4/1 or I could be wrong.

Is there a more seasoned punter than myself that can explain why the odds are qouted as such?

Most the bookies are using "UK" Decimals these days the stake is included as a dividend so " even money" would be 2.0 and 2/1 = 3.0

I prefer decimal I just dont like it when they add 1 to it as in 0.5/1 becomes 1.5/1 thats the part that irks me 😁

Hate the new website. Never understand something...if it ain't broke...

At the same time cannot understand why a huge firm like WSB would limit me to R500 of a win bet and a massive R200 of a place bet  ...

Decimal odds show the betting price with your stake added, e.g. 4/1 means R4 to your R1 but on decimal odds will reflect as 5.0 which price includes your stake. a price of 8/10 when divided = 0.8 which means 80 cents to your R1 which shows as 1.8 as a decimal odd. Hope it clarifies now.
