Micheal Roberts, like saying Scotland football team (Souness Dalglish, Hanson). That was then this is now, besides Marcus is nowhere near as good as Roberts was.

Not otherwise Greg. People far too often gives others titles when that person is unproven other than in his own backyard. I saw a sign once in a town in NZ called Tokoroa advertising juice. I cannot remember the name of the juice but the sign said such and such juice...world famous in New Zealand.

If you consider population/ratio I am sure SA produces one of the highest percentage of top class jocks on the planet, not sure who the highest earning jock is? but Dougie Whyte must be well up there.

NZ has a population of 4 million and they have a good few world class riders, Australia has a 20 million population and they have plenty of world class riders, the UK have a population of 60 million and they too have plenty of world class riders. SA has a population of 64 million and as you say you have 2 world class riders.

Ireland imo produce the finest riders. Spencer, Kinane, Murtagh, Mc Coy, Smullen, Berry, Ahern, Callen, Welsh, Carberry, and loads of other world class riders.

Greg I am not English I am a Kaapie born and breed under the mountain. The English cricket side is a complete and utter farce. Lots of the UK riders are from Ireland and a few are Welsh.
