A lot of manual entries to capture... so probably 15 - 18 May I would guess.

I agree Magi but was surprised to see a position given to my entry last night already on line.

RACING SOUTH AFRICA
2012 CHAMPIONS SEASON CHARITY TURF CHALLENGE (CTC)
sponsored by GOLD CIRCLE
The Racing South Africa team are currently processing all manual entries and payments received before doing an internal audit of the competition. We apologise for the delay which we estimate will take 10 working days and THANK racing fans for their patience in advance.
• If you entered before the DEADLINE and submitted your payment which is not reflected as yet – these payments are being captured and will be reflected as soon as possible.
• If your manual entry was received before the DEADLINE and is not on the system as yet these entries are being processed and will be reflected as soon as possible.
• If you submitted an email address with your entry, you will receive all CTC updates. If not, then please follow the weekly CTC press release which will be published in the Sporting Post and on www.racingsouthafrica.co.za & www.africanbettingclan.co.za websites.
The competition closed at 17H00 on Saturday, 05 May 2012 and the first runners in the competition took their place in the Gr.2 KRA Fillies Guineas. It was Amanee (Pivotal) from the Mike de Kock yard that returned to her best at Greyville Racecourse, clearly showing a liking for the KZN climate having won last season’s Gr.1 Thekwini Stakes. The word on the ground is that this may have been her last run in the country as she may be leaving for an international campaign for Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum. She was not on the list of horses in the competition and, therefore, no points were scored for first place. Trainer Wendy Whitehead’s daughter of Captain Al, Reason To Believe, ran the race of her life to finish second and Felix The Cat (Black Minnaloush), who has always been highly rated by trainer Duncan Howells, finished third. Points earned for these runners were 9 and 6 respectively.
In the Gr.2 KRA Guineas, just two horses dominated the betting and rightfully so. Variety Club started in the red and over 1600m the son of Var looked hard to beat. However, the reigning favourite for this year’s Vodacom Durban July had his followers who were hoping that Jackson (Dynasty) could still upset the favourite over a distance short of his best. It was not to be, as the Joey Ramsden’s trained colt showed that he is supreme over a mile with an easy victory. In the post-race interview on Tellytrack with Derek Brugman, the racing manager for proud owners Mrs I Jooste & Mr MJ Jooste, he mentioned that the connections were contemplating whether to give their high class colt a chance to prove himself on the world stage. If so, then that will sadly be the last points scored for the followers of Variety Club in the competition. Points earned by Variety Club and Jackson in the KRA Guineas were 14 and 9 respectively and third placed Golden Chateau (Chateau Istana) scored 6 points.
The Gr.2 Drill Hall Stakes attracted a competitive field and a popular inclusion amongst racing fans in this year’s competition was Depardieu (Dupont) who disappointed his followers. It was visiting trainer, Vaughan Marshall, who landed the spoils with the talented son of Kahal, Tales of Bravery. It was an emotional victory for the stable as the 5 year old gelding raced in the colours of the Late Roy Eckstein who passed away in April. Chesalon (Fort Wood) made a promising start to his Champions Seasons campaign, finishing second and Bulsara showed signs of maybe coming back to his best back in third. Points score for first, second and third were 14, 9 and 6 respectively.
The leading horses by points of the competition thus far are:
2012 CHARITY TURF CHALLENGE by LEADING HORSES (06 May)
NAME of HORSE POINTS
1.TALES OF BRAVERY 14
VARIETY CLUB 14
3. CHESALON 9
JACKSON 9
REASON TO BELIEVE 9
6. BULSARA 6

GOLDEN CHATEAU 6
9. GREAT FOX 1
A provisional leader board (subject to verification during final audit) will be available shortly.
The first of the spot prize draws will take place, Friday 11 May (Greyville night racing) so stay tuned to Tellytrack before the start of Race 4. This is a computer generated, random draw from all entrants and not dependent on points earned. The two R500 telephone betting deposits are kindly sponsored by TAB GOLD “The Intelligent Bet”.
As and when Charity Turf Challenge horses earn points, we will update the Racing South Africa website and email data-base: www.racingsouthafrica.co.za
Lastly, we thank all entrants for their support and wish them every success and lots of excitement during the 2012 Champions Season Charity Turf Challenge sponsored by Gold Circle.
Best Regards
