2012 CHAMPIONS SEASON CHARITY TURF CHALLENGE (CTC)

The Racing South Africa team has processed all manual entries and payments received. We THANK racing fans for their patience and are pleased to announce that the 2012 competition is now official!

Tuesday, 22 May saw the running of the Gr.2 Betting World 1900 at Greyville Racecourse. Unfortunately, the early favourite, Berry Blaze (Danehill Dancer), was a late scratching and it was the Dennis Drier trained daughter of Dynasty, Beach Beauty, that went off as the SAFTote favourite. In a competitive field, Beach Beauty put in an awesome performance and won well for her followers in the competition, scoring 14 points. Second placed, Master Plan (Jet Master) earned 9 points and Chesalon (Fort Wood), who is now the leading point scorer in the competition, finished third with 6 points.

The next major point scoring race in the competition will be the first of the Bonus Races, the Gr.1 Golden Horse Casino Sprint, worth 25 points to the winner, 14 points for second and 10 points for third. Also featured on the same day at Scottsville Racecourse, Saturday 26 May will be Gr.1 South African Fillies Sprint which is worth a total of 44 points.

me too! JustinVermaak..pity bambina lost the jock in the fillies guineas or id probably be closer..but i think the same goes for alot of ppl

I am still trailing on 23 but have WAW, Princess Victoria, Welwitchia and Ebony Flyer this weekend so hoping for some good points. Also have Antious in a few entries so am hoping he runs on Saturday.
