boys the sa market should actually be 10% of foprmgrids business (it could even be free)
The USA is where the dosh is, horses run on same tracks for weeks on end, collateral form and the other tools that forgrids has would eat up DRF and spit it out.
Myself and 2 partners have been parsin USA racing results for the last 8 years (i have every single result for the USA ) for the last 8 years. We offered this to formgrids as a jv......that was 2 1/2 years ago still waiting for a reply to emails.

hibs
Its not only about the money BUT formgrids is like toast. very simple and brilliant. Those kind of things come along only once in a lifetime.
and actually its about money now because the article is about funding and colloboration.
Now just with the talent on this site formgrids could be taken to another whole new level. there are all sorts on here. MOst would contribute to a greater good/improvement BUT that would have to be along the lines of sharing the wealth that WILL SURELY come with international exposure/launch.
Facebook have just listed, i am not ssaying formgrids is FB but i am saying that the SA market is zero and the international potential is unlimited BECAUSE its so so so simple to use.
As a tool for introducing new punetrs into racing formgrids would be the tool of choice.

The man understands that to keep the industry going you need real punters not citizen and free tabform junkies - You need to educate and provide this product to all punters so that they can increase their knowledge of racing to keep them winning

Don't be so sure easy - things have changed - and I'm not sure it it's the old guard of punters that need formgrids- it's the new under 30 grouping that understand technology that would eat this system up alive

Easy, how long have you been in the uk? you work in the internet services sector if i remember correctly? then you will know more than most how big internet will become in RSA in the next 10 years..
Just like 10-15 years ago betting shops in the uk were busy, they are now deserted, but punting is still massive..
The same will happen in South Africa, and internet sites like Formgrids and internet bookies still have big growth to come..

hibs i dont disagree, but its been 4 years that we have been talking. What i am saying is international content and some sort of colloberation could have forgrids ready for the "boom"
If there was an instant boost in internet coinnections in sa and all of a sudden 50000 people logged onto the current formgrids it will crash.
And i was at a conference with bt recently so i know internet will become huge in africa BUT , and this is a HUGE BUT.
at the moment, right now per 100 people in the world there are 94 mobile phones.
that number is projected to increase to 130 in 15 years time.
SO the "internet" connection you are referring to and the one that will be prevelent in africa are 2 different beasts.
We are currently at the end of BT's NGA roll out plan. The next phase is FTTH to 20 million homes, this will not happen in SA, 40 million people dont have a proper home, dont have proper utilities, so super fast broadband to the masses is not going to happen. Therefore that makes the African market smaller.
