Hopefully, it eradicates the negative perceptions by punters that certain trainers/ jockeys work closely with bookies.
I am glad the NHA realised the punter is King.

The great P does not understand that already fixed odds Soccer bets have pushed Horse Racing into a corner in Bookmakers halls - If the bookies decide that racing is just not worth it anymore then TV's turned onto soccer and nothing for Racing - Clever boys!!

Tero when last has the great NHA suspended a horse because of in and out running to protect it's King?

The theme of this thread is the anger at an attack on Hollywood..........as a fan of Hollywood ,and of Owen Heffer's contribution to racing,I sympathise with that emotion!!
However, leaving out the parties ,it has to be in the interests of(and the image of) ,racing that any conflict of interests, that could be perceved to be further served by a trading of favours,be avoided.
Lets be honest,if you took some newbie racing and he had a bet with a bookmaker and then finds that the "horse" he has just lost his money on,is sponsored by the people he just lost his money to,he may find it disconcerting.
We have to keep in mind the perceptions of the public at large if we wish to expand the base.
Hollywood will continue to prosper due to their excellent customer service and will very soon find even more appropriate advertising,I have little doubt.

NHA should not allow bookies to sponsor jockeys!
