Too many times in the past we have let sides off the hook when we have our foot on their throats. Today we must be ruthless and finish the job as quick as possible so as to unsettle the England team and have them kakking themselves for the 2nd test. 6 wickets are a lot to take on a day (well just ask the England bowlers who took 2 in 2 days)

I don't see why the Ashes should be the only 5 Test Series. SA, India, England and Aus should play more tests against each other. I suppose the big bucks is in T20 so test cricket loses out.

World number 1 test side made to look very average.
This must go down as one of SA's most dominant test win losing 2 wickets to England's 20 and probably winning by an innings. (tu)

I think everyone that follows cricket closely knows that England are not the best team at the moment...remember they were recently thrashed by Pakistan and the only reason the Proteas are not number 1 is because the last test against NZ was drawn due to rain.

well done proteas.im hoping the weather plays its part for next 2 tests because then we will beat these poms 3-0 to claim the number1 spot, where we deserve to be, because we are the best test team in the world at the moment.

England struggle in Asia as do many countries. Many of us supporters though have said for a long time that we are good but not great. I have said for a long time that SA would be a completely different challenge, truly world class players throughout the side and in a way I'm happy they have reminded people. England will be back though and as often happens this may serve as a kick in the rear required. As it stands, I simply take my hat off to SA on a truly outstanding display and I hope it has raised a smile for the very unfortunate Mr Boucher who will be sorely missed from the test arena.

On a pitch that should not have produced a result, the Proteas produced one of their best team efforts to humiliate England; bring on Headingly. One slight concern for me remains the wicket keeping position, yes AB can cope in 'normal' conditions, but needs a lot more experience (as wicket-keeper) especially on worn pitches - and Tsolokile is not the answer either.
Also looking to the future (beyond Smith and Kallis), maybe we need a few more batsmen and a spinner - to put up their hands
But let's celebrate a fantastic week-end for SA sport (only the Bulls failed, but it was always going to be a struggle against the Crusaders in NZ)
