Congrats to Team SA! But also to Team GB, who treated us to a thriller in the last day and went out with a bang not a whimper. Vintage test cricket.

Troubled England star Kevin Pietersen suffered another blow on Sunday as the controversial batsman was dismissed for a golden duck just hours after more damaging allegations emerged about the text message row that threatens to end his international career.

Pietersen lasted just one ball on his return to action for Surrey in his first county match since being dropped by England for the on-going final Test against South Africa.

The Proteas have dedicated their series win over England to former wicketkeeper Mark Boucher, whose career was cut short on the tour.

Boucher was quick to respond to the kinds gestures from his former team-mates via his Twitter account.

"Thnx @GraemeSmith49 ,the Proteas squad and 2 all the messages from everyone! That was a special touch! Proud to have been apart of that squad," he posted.

Well said, englander, but I'm not sure about the English being a 'very' decent side - I'd go with 'decent' - and imo SA had some very dodgy decisions going against them throughout the series and still came out tops - in England's backyard

The next series will hopefully be in SA - and it could be two very different sides - so looking forward to that (tu)

Now the hard part starts. Staying at number 1. Australia and Pakistan are now the teams to beat as I think England have cooked their goose and will go downhill from here as there is far too much in fighting.

Fair opinion Frodo. I have watched them around the world though for a decade and imo they are more than decent. While I accept SA were the better of the two sides and fully deserved the win, we did drop someone in two of the tests who went on to get a 100, if they had been taken it COULD ( ;) ) have made the scores much closer and even possibly given a different result. I would also agree that over the three games SA came off worse in the umpiring decisions, Kallis off the glove being the stand-out to me (inexcusable!).
Always look forward to tours over here Frodo, good time and good cricket. Hope they put PE back on the calendar.
Hotline... no-one who likes cricket really gives a t*ss about the one-dayers. Couldn't care less if SA do give us a right Royal rodgering as you so delicately put it ;) I even left the WC game early as I was bored and wanted a beer... (though I confess I didn't expect England to turn it on its head like that... blardy people in that dirty little bar in Chennai wouldn't even let me watch the end on TV! lol)
CnC... England are way ahead of Australia just now, if SA don't beat them 3 zip then imho it will be a disappointing tour for you guys
