Ok, Flash.....here goes -

1) Yes, "the fairees" did back the horse, it seems...
2) You keep believing the bookies, Flash, but please dont forget that I grew up in this game and saw R20k go on a horse.... in the early 70's, when an average home cost R20k and a VW beetle cost R1k. And today we have a farcical bunch who will shorten a horse for R500.....in 2013....
3) Flash, you are actually one of the few that I enjoy on the site.... It's just your going public with private and confidential info that spoils things.
4) Now lets get to the actual point of why I posted out of the blue on your thread. Firstly, thanks for reacting, which was what "we" wanted.....and secondly, apologies for using you to sort out an aggravation which a few of us have had in the last few months!
Ultimately, "we" fully understand that punters are vital to racing and we cannot race without them. Nobody who I speak with or for will refuse info to punters on course or to tellytrack, when they ask. But, it is aggravating when, long before a horse is nominated, the Owner finds out that his horse is "flying" etc, from someone who isnt a partner, not in the yard or even an owner. In spite of the Trainer having told the Owner this, it is still a source of aggravation for the Owner, who has paid the bills and waited patiently. So, today was the perfect day and you played your role perfectly...
5) My Tiger Ridges.... this tag was given to a horse to someone in my ring who wants to know it all and who plays poker....person A revealed!
6)I have a nice little filly. She wont win first time, probably not second time and is no star - but I did speak about my "Antonius Pius" to someone recently.....(person B revealed).
7)Mullins Bay.... neither of my two have been beyond a gentle half pace....BUT I did speak to same ONE person about them....(person B revealed again, "form franked!!!")
8)Flying Foo/Miss Cantona - you are so far off the mark, one of my Owners left the course with a cheque for the balance.....
9)Bah was aimed at Gr.1 in kzn well before his win, but wants further. I did take a place double with the stable companion onto Miss Cantona, but covered up on the day with Bah. If the stable companion ran in first four, I think we would have killed the quartets. In the end though, a tidy profit was shown.
10) "beat De Var Hyt at work" - this one is the biggest thank you, Flash! A jock who seldom works at Vaal saw the work, stood with me....but he didnt know that anything beats De Var Hyt at home....(Jock revealed, Flash).

So, Flash, just be careful now.... my first timers will all be Tiger Ridges at work, Stanleys will all be Mullins Bays and Lucky's will all be Vars.... because now we know the story!

And in closing, to the halfwit who wrote that us Trainers dont know what we doing, why dont you ask Ou Ryperd to publish here, what bet he took today....from my yard....

Louis you have done whatever you have done and have to say you have done well. But why that post ? Good luck bud hope you have many more winners! Nobody in this game is bullet proof. It would be good to have a pot with you and Flash and any body else who wants . Just my blurred opinion

louis....i have the utmost respect for u and your info.,u r top class....i know how u fancied miss k today and the level of confidence to lable a 7/1 ,has to be commended.....actually i like this thread and on the contrary it should make us punters wake up and take note of all the hogwash stories that get floated around..today a perfect example....who better than u to tell us joe soaps that VA is not right..and yet there were ppl on the forum to doubt you...thats ludicrous....cant thank u enough for coming on the site even after all the bull and setting the record straight....it definitely saved us some money...i get your sms from time to time....and i must say...u are transparent as the day is clear...even though some horse come uo on you from time to time...the only thing i need to know from a trainer is if a horse is well..after that i analyse.
today u said VA was not tuned up..thats a great tip....cuts the exotics down...i mean its third favourite at the time...and even if it came up on u today....,i wouldn,t for 1 minute think u tried to middle us...louis keep up the good work and march on

Agree Bloodshot , I had horses previously in the care of Louis that is why I respect him as a trainer but I stick to my opinion about all trainers tipping their winning horses to their owners/insiders . show me one trainer making money backing his own horses , NOT ONE , and the one that claim he does is a bullshit FUMDUCK



The claim about the owner needed to be paid by cheque for the balance of his winnings because they didnt have enough cash (i presume)by whatever bookie/tote on-course I struggle to believe with both horses owned by syndicates:

FLYING FOO 14/1 drifted to 40/1
MISS CANTONA 8/1 drifted to 16/1

Maybe owner is a small tote punter and punting very very small because quartet was caught less than 3 times and trifecta less than 20 times and their wasn't even R500 either at the bookies if the drifted so alarmingly much , because you will not clean up the bookies if a horse drifts like that ,

Louis maybe you can tell us who the bookmaker was paying by checque or was it the tote that day , will be very easy to find out if its true or not and I will gladly come apologies if my suspicion is of the mark .

Ok, let us start at the beginning. Flash said he 'heard' the machine is doing well. From 'info' jockeys, grooms, etc. Blouperd then said if it comes from Flash, it must be a good thing. Louis said it's NOT stable money and rumours gaan julle in julle moer maak. Both Flash & Blouperd said, jou moer Louis, ons gaan 'n bet vat. Louis waarsku weer en noem julle 'n gepaste naam. Ander 'punters' volg julle raad en sit geld op die 'groot perd' Selfs manne soos Shrek en Gregbucks waarsku, maar julle f*k voort, with insults and all. Toilet papier, etc, etc.

I wonder how many other 'abc (the leachers) that sit on this site in desperation for a few bucks (and never post) took that bet coming from the so called fundi's. I hope they have now learned that THE GOOSE is no fool and one of the few trainers in this country "WAT SY PERDE KEN"

I must say that i dont know Louis personally, but have listened to his advice on podcasts and on this site in the past and he has NEVER pulled the wool over anyone's eyes! I think he is a great horseman!

It's not long ago that he gave the clanners the green light to have a bet on Miss Cantona when she won her maiden...........i haven't forgotten that, so thanks again Louis and keep up the good work (tu)

I did not even open this thread yesterday :S .... Louis is passionate about what he does and is EXTREMELY transparent.

What IS relevant though and gives some sort of credence to Blouperds comments earlier in the thread is Leon Erasmus's interview after the first race winner yesterday... ....The two he gave the most chances to did not place... the runner he did not mention won ... {drops wooden spoon....dons crash helmet...jogs off in rather a hurry}
