Amazing....horses can have an ability rating between 30 and 130 but all people are equal-the most important thing that successful people know is that luck has very little to do with it!

Did you miss the bit where he mentioned getting advice from MdK about the horse's problem?

Whoa,
I agree 100% with leon regarding archaic training methods and beliefs.
What i also agree with is that Craig told all that would listen that the horse was not 100%
Based on the horse not being 100% again leon is correct , form means nothing in this instance.

So? The point I'm making is that given the right opportunity and a bit of luck many trainers will succeed

No way not our Gary, he one day planned it out to retire and and come back after a rest and win the breeders cup just like the way you like to plan the races for your horses. Just one problem, your plans never materialise like Garys! So I guess you right not everybody is equal or luck play no part!

Nicky Butt, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, David Beckham, Paul Scholes
The greatest manager football has ever seen or a manager who got a huge slice of luck to set him on his way? My opinion, luck and skill often go hand in hand.
This thread bemuses me somewhat. Starts off with clanners showing support for a fellow clanner / trainer and his injured horse. Trainer explains that the horse is likely to need the run. Horse runs pretty much as trainer predicts. Thank you Mr Trainer and great that the horse has returned sound. Surely that should bring an end to the thread? But, seemingly not, some clanners just can't seem to leave it at that and it is turned into another let's "question" Craig over this n that in, at least what seems to me on reading, a somewhat personal manner in some cases. Load of utter bollox if you ask me. Back off or fark off, pretty please... time and a place for everything (perhaps!)

Craig, thanks for the transparency and great FFC came back sound. The rest of this thread... i really don't give a fark and hope you don't either.
