I watched that program On The Rails and they had a theory that the good ones get injured because they have a lesser pain barrier and therefore push themselves through the pain barrier. Hope he come out sound

Mr H that is so true, I'm a firm believer in good horses being able to push through that barrier. That's what makes them better however sometimes to their detriment unfortunately.

LL Stuart was engaged and is a very good jockey. Has often ridden 1st timers for me that were not 100% yet. If he was good enough for Jet Master then probably good enough for FFC.

Craig interested to know , horses coming back from injury, do you have to teach them how to race again or do they just pic up the pieces ?
I know horses that have bled or had a fall can lose confidence

Most pick it up as they start working with a companion again. FFC has to be the most laid back horse I have ever worked with. Lazy as well. You can gallop him on the grass and as he pulls up he will stop and put his head down and start eating grass!:S:D

and do they favour a particular leg or legs if they were injured on the opposite side?

Mr H, they can favour the one or the other but in FFC's case he chipped both knees in that race but he seems at home on both at the moment.

All the best Craig, hope he runs well and there are no issues (tu)
And, I can't remember, are the colours mostly black and yellow or black and white stripes?
