This horse they suspended him for ran on Saturday and still didnt go close so how can it be that the horse was not given a fair chance. Crazy! The lad gets 2 month..Did he follow instructions from the trainer saying give the horse an easy ride?

I think very harsh, so guys blatantly don't ride to the line and cost many a punter a pa or trifecta or quartet and f all gets done. This lad gets punished and imo just got kicked out of the jockey title race, give 2months 2 striker n Marcus u may as well stay away da whole season.

Farked up imo. Yes rules are being enforced well done- but surely should be enforced consisantly.

I feel for him, way2 break momentum. Maybe he can plea and get suspended sentance? I don't know.

I'm sure he was not very complementary of the ride Willow Magic was given in it's last start if I heard correctly when interviewed after the win on Saturday (same Jock)

I have been saying this for a long time, most of these top jockeys have two styles of riding, one to win and one to lose, its about time they bring them in and suspend them, its not a joke watching a jockey take the horse you backed 4 wide and then take the horse to the outside as well, jockeys that don't ride out there horse's and get away with it,because they top jockeys, No ways rules are rules and on one should getaway with it, now to catch the other, come on stips in cape town were are you guys sitting when races are been run. Hope I'm not the only one that feels this way.

one thing I can see happen soon is a few guys coming down because a guy goes to the front and then slows the whole pack down and the field all bunch up - The stipes should talk to all the jockeys and warn them that this, though tactical, is very dangerous and should not be allowed. Nothing wrong with giving a horse a breather but not when youi slow it down to a walk.

It really seems as if the punishment do's NOT fit the crime!!!!

60 days fine for not riding out properly ?

1 k for entering a wrong horse ? Should be 50 K !!

and maybe someone can let us know what happened to in the animal cruelty case against a Kimberly trainer .????????
