Titch If there was any "welfare" issue then a Jockey stops riding as we have seen on numerous occasions - I looked at the stipes report and NOWHERE does it say SUPERTUBE was examined by the Vet and something was found however it does say a)
Jockey R Fradd reported that he felt something amiss with PIVOTAL PURSUIT and did not persevere with his ride from approximately the 200 metre mark. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this horse. so to suggest something was wrong with SUPERTUBE is misleading - Also take a look at how close the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th horses finished (less that three lengths) and tell me that a more vigorous ride over the final 400m , from such a strong rider would not have resulted in a better position for SUPERTUBE as he was flying late.

Thanks Titch... the truth is if I were an owner I would be more concerned about breaking down my horse than my couple of rand I put on. I wonder how many punters realise that the majority of horses HATE racing. It terrifies them. They know they are going to get smacked and bustled and potentially hurt.

All I can say is we need consistency in decision making I have seen many worse transgressions go unpunished or get seven days the same goes for objections and many other areas that should be policed by officials as long as it's consistent the rules are the rules I feel for the youngster as this will impact his title chase and earnings I would like to see a few officials go without two months salaries based on the poor decisions that are made.

The man gets put out of contention for possibly winning the jockeys title.
How low does one stoop.
Probably more to this than meets the eye.
Hope this kind of vigilance gets applied to every other jockey, to prove that here is no bias.

Do yourself a favor and watch the race please - To imply that the stipes or anybody in SA Racing would like to see Khumalo not win the Title is insane - Do you remember how much coverage he garnered for Racing by winning the July and I am sure 99% of people involved in Racing can see the value of having a black Champ -

We ask for regulation, we ask for a cleaner game , we get action and still we're not happy
