Then why Titch did he not plead not guilty?

Stipes Report: THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) SUPERTUBE (AUS) (S Khumalo) – stumbled shortly after the start.

That just referred to a possible error of judgement - he sent the horse for home too early, but probably had no choice because the leader was already stopping.

again why then did he not plead "not guilty" - and where is there any reference to anything happening at the 500m mark when any jockey would have to start working on his mount?

Because he felt that the charge was absolutely groundless?? he certainly did not plead guilty, and if anyone who backed the horse thinks that he had a prayer of beating the winner then their judgement is worse than the stipes who feel 2 months for that ride is warranted..absolute bullsh1t.. now await the swinger and exacta brigade...>:D<

have got to say its diapointing to see trainers have a go at jockeys in the public eye these days...very poor of gavin van zyl comments regarding brandon lerena...totally uncalled for and unproffesional considering he was a jockey as well not so long ago

Obviously it was not groundless and anybody knows you plead not guilty if you believe you are - You know very well Titch that the rule states you must give your horse the best possible ride in the race to achieve the best possible POSITION(that does not mean win the race) And for your info the first I saw the race was when Bob posted it as I had no Financial interest in it

and where does the welfare of the horse fit into the priority list?? do you believe that a jock should ignore the possibility of a horse sustaining a serious injury in a race...
