I can only talk from what I read from Molly's article on Jean Heming. Skjoldhammer sent his Denim Dandy to run in the Met in 1984? His instruction to Jean Heming was to set a scorching pace for Arctic Cove, the eventual winner, trained by Terance Millard. When Jean said to Skjoldhammer that Millard always has pacemakers in big races he responded "I do not trust Mr Millard". For those who remember Denim Dandy set a suicide pace and S'hammer had 10's of thousands on Arctic Cove :-)

The mention of Tilly Wilmans..... That was a funny story-railway worker and real "outie"(knew his sister well).... fluked a big j'pot and then even luckier buying some really good horses via David Payne( Bold Warrior , Little Mo , etc)
Was a force, punting for about a year, and then went out - back to outie!
Loved the limelight while it lasted!
