I was watching winning ways yesterday and I heard that that Hill Fifty Four is out of the July. What happened to him?

The pronunciation of the current leader is very interesting for want of a better word:

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Managed 24 points yesterday to move up to 158 points. Unfortunately it looks like Contador is leaving so no points for him.

Anything can happen in this competition I was lying in 651 position and lost interest until yesterday when I picked up points with King of Pain , Hammies Hooker , and Beach Beaty. Hoping Cherry on The Top wins the Jubilee which should pull be a few lengths closer. Pity I have Coltrane who is raiding in Zim and his points don't count

On Saturday, 7 June at Clairwood Racecourse, there was a total of 95 points up for grabs in the 3 feature races. The Gr.1 Rising Sun Gold Challenge attracted a quality field which included Capetown Noir, Beach Beauty and Yorker who were all popular choices in the competition. However, the second bonus race in the competition went to the son of Greys Inn, King Of Pain (SAF). Under an enterprising ride by jockey Bernard Fayd’Herbe, the striking grey held of challenges from Beach Beauty (Dynasty) and Yorker (Jet Master), giving trainer Joey Ramsden a hat trick of wins in this race, having triumphed with Variety Club in the previous two years. King Of Pain scored 30 points in total as he also added 5 long shot bonus points for paying R35.40 on SAFTote. Second placed Beach Beauty scored 14 points and third placed Yorker scored 9 points.
In Gr.2 Tibouchina Stakes, Hammies Hooker (Trippi) showed her class with an impressive win for trainer Mike Bass and bagged 14 points. Second placed Jet Aglow (Jet Master) scored 9 points and third placed Maybe Yes (Tiger Ridge) scored 6 points.
In the Gr.3 Cup Trail, the field was made up of a few Vodacom Durban July hopefuls but all eyes were on the favourite Futura, for the son of Dynasty it was a matter of, “win it and you’re in”! It was a gallant effort by Futura who finished third, beaten by One Cool Dude (Strike Smartly) who ran the race of his life for trainer Duncan Howells to hold off a determined challenge by Serrisa (Black Minnaloushe) who was not in the competition. Points for first and third – 9 and 3 respectively.
The next big point scoring opportunity is the Gr.2 Post Merchants, which will be run over 1200m at Greyville Racecourse on Friday 13 June (night racing).
After the second bonus race of the competition only 31 points separate the top 100 in the competition. Racing fans are guaranteed an exciting finish to this year’s renewal which will go down to the wire!
Due to time constraints, there was no spot prize draw on Saturday, 7 June (Clairwood) on Tellytrack. The spot prize draw will take place on Wednesday, 11 June at Greyville Racecourse, were 5 winners will each win a R500 telephone betting deposit sponsored by Tab Gold the “Intelligent Bet”. This is a computer generated, random draw from all entrants and not dependent on points earned.
As and when Charity Turf Challenge horses earn points, we will update the Racing South Africa website and email data-base: www.racingsouthafrica.co.za
