Louis, what you said on TV the other day was a disgrace. I missed it till my phone rang off the hook from friends who called to say "did you hear what the bloke said?"
The job of the handicapper is to give the beaten horses a chance to draw up to a horse that has beaten them next time...in HANDICAPS! Once horses are exposed, a horse shouldn't be able to win many successive handicap races if the handicapper is doing their job. When your horse Moggy hit a run recently, and looking at her career the clues why are there, you beat horses like Paschal Moon several times in a row. In your interview you first say Moggy was unlucky in the running and would have got closer than third, then you claim she was stopped by the handicappers. Just what are they supposed to do to be fair? You also ran 1st and 3rd with both horses receiving weight, how come you not complaining about the poor horses giving you weight.
You also have a responsibility to represent officials who are being as objectively fair as they can with a bit of respect and not portrait honest people as cheats when they can't defend themselves. After you have your say on TV and in print, many people probably do now think the handicapper is out to penalise specific performers, but independent ratings show that is just not true.

On yesterday's performance, he has won over many fans. I hope he makes the July final field, talking from my pocket, I have backed him despite drifting from 50/1, 66/1 and 83/1, so here's to hoping. What is going to be interesting, where will they price him up later today or tomorrow?

We seem to be going of the original topic a bit here, maybe a 1 on 1 debate between Karel and Goose ?

Daily news is a qualifying race , with a few doubtful starters from the top of the log and Legislate a shoe in 2nd place might help
Plus he has done more now than Futura,so IMO has more of a chance than Futura to get in

Lammtarra won as a 2yo got injured and never ran for 300+ days ,then won the Derby
Merit ratings should mean fuck all in grade1 races, but the July is a handicap
