Rake's Chestnut bound to be upped from 90 to 108 or thereabouts.
Still a one-time winner.
What will Louis say?

Either he will say that any fool can see that the rating of this horse, its ability expressed in half kilos, is somewhere between Legislate and Louis The King OR he will say that bleddy handicapper stops horses faster than a bucket of water in the parade ring.

Looked like being unplaced 250-300m out and then ran on to be beaten just over a length...a worthy Triple Crown winner who ran a top race in defeat after exertions of Highveld feature season whilst horses that were 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th,6th have not had as many recent runs as he has had in last 3 months and not at the same level...

July will see Louis be the top 3 year old finisher...just think that a older horse may come through as we could have 4-5 three year olds (in 16 horse field) all within 1-2 points of each other...no stand-out...even Bezenova and Top Jet got closer than their Guineas runs...:S:S

He will say that the horse is a top horse and one of the few in racing. That the rest of the horses in SA are what keep the game going, selling publications week in and week out , providing the turnover to fund the industry and that the rest of the horses have a problem..... With handicapping.... The normal horses.....

And Zhivago finally dropped from a 90 to a 81 and just beat a average KZN 80 handicap where he belongs.... As for Rakes Chestnut, his handicapping days are a over! It's now weight for age as the big boys such as Service Ace, Shogunner, Brooks Club, and a couple others once upon a time were!

correct I wouldn't be shocked if he is on the first plane out the country, well done to the connections for testing him against the best and not doing what other archaic trainers would do by winning meaningless handicaps (tu)
