No need to worry about the pick six when you got a coup like this...if two Clanners are in the pound seats with their small outlays, what sort of money have those "in the know" made??
It may be the single event that totally eliminates what little credibility racing may have had...the so-called "straw that breaks the camel's back"...
Only way for the sport to survive is for all information to be made available to all the players in the game and then people can make informed decisions...all those that pulled off the coup have done is take money from other punters who were not in on it and this leaves a very bitter after-taste that is not easily forgotten...there may be the odd bookie that's crying but that are many many punters who bet on the other horses in those races whose money now goes to those "in the know"...the bookie is merely the conduit and if he had priced his book up to correct percentages will have the funds from the other horses (from other punters) to pay on the coup...
I personally didn't bet on either race as I was on the road so I'm not out of pocket...

This is not great for racing. this trainer hardly has runners looks like maybe 5 horses in his yard and then long they come and kick us in the teeth.
2 weeks ago the horses run over completely different trips show nothing. Today no chance to find them.
anyways thats gambling i guess

Well done to them pulling off what was clearly a masterpiece of a betting coup,
That does not mean that it is utterly WRONG though.... And extremely unfair to allow these things to happen and CERTAINLY devastating to the industry in the long run...trust is earned...this kind of thing is not good for the industry doesn't matter how you look at it.
I disagree, the losers are the bookmakers. How can anybody feel sorry for them.
These are the same folk that wouldn't dare offer a refund if your horses saddle slipped,if it was given a terrible ride, fell at the last when 10 lenghts clear, jockey took the wrong course, got badly hampered or cast a shoe.
That list of losing has happened to me,not on the same day thankfully.
If they had any sense, they should be promoting and highlighting this punt to draw some new/more
clients.
I'm going to enjoy my winnings, who wants trust.Readies look better.

I wish you well and certainly don't begrudge you winning but for every winner you have a loser. The Pick Six carryover shows that we all got it wrong today. Are we all just plain useless or were we fooled by a potentially illegal act ?
Lets have an enquiry and see why the stable found reason to back these horses and to bring Greg Cheyne up to ride them.
If you can find one form man who can give you a reason why Elegant Bay had any chance then please could you post those reasons on the forum.

Like I said earlier,Elegant Bay won back to back races this time last year.
In my opinion Pick6,Placepots,Jackpots are mugs bets, even lucky 15s that I do are mugs bets.
Type of bets bookmakers love.
No disrespect Harris, but I hope you had trousers taken down, you being a bookmaker.

I am a punter, not a bookmaker. The few bookmakers I spoke to escaped virtually unscathed. I am sorry but if they won this time last year then why did they run so poorly 2 weeks ago ?
The fact that you hope I had my trousers taken speaks more about you as a person than the results of today. What have I ever done to you ?
Celebrate wildly tonight and spend it while you can. I would hate for you to piss it up over the next few days. Mugs like you are a bookmakers dream !
Sorry to take a swipe at you but it was deserved, well deserved !

Is it possible or allowed for trainers to deliberately reduce the merit ratings of their horses to disguise a horses true ability to greatly improve the trainers chances of their runners in future races when the odds and opportunities look better? I'm not a trainer, just an interested observer.
My point ,for the last few years, has been that if you do not regulate, this situation is inevitable.................particularly when betting patterns show that the improvement to both horses was fully expected!!!!!!!!
Why would you need specimens..............as I have said before ..............if you do not regulate consistency why would anybody use dope, that is?????
Lets see what the NHA does about this.

Bob, any chance u want abc to become a multi million dollar organization? Invite mr Spielberg on here. I have no doubt this could become the best series/Sophie ever witnessed on TV. More emotion available here than on the average home made porno. Just pls give me 5% shares when it takes off
