Wow....did you just say that!!
So you dont mind being bullshitted by lies and half truths from jocks/trainers etc?
Or perhaps you are one of the privileged ones ?
There can be absolutely no justification or argument for this type of thing.
It is simply WRONG
There are many stakeholders in this "game"....what gives one group the right to screw the rest????????

1)Who are you to demand info ? Can't you read ? Can't you see when a horse shortens ?
2)You guys who came into racing yesterDAY have a lot to learn. The shrewdies of yesterYEAR never had TV, cellphones or computers. Yet they were putting more on a horse 40 years ago than you do today. Do the maths. They simply watched the betting.
3)All of a sudden, MR Beyleveld's opinion is akin to that of deity.
4)The fundamental difference between Owners and Punters is that Owners HAVE TO pay their keep and Punters DONT HAVE TO punt.
5)When anyone backs a horse, he/she doesn't think of or care about the next person. Punters don't stop and think " hey, shouldn't I wait for the Owner to get on?" But now we want the Owner to say , " I can't back my horse yet, because I haven't told the punters" or, as per this thread, " I had better let the Punters know that I intend backing my horse"
5)Watch the betting, ffs and don't worry about jockeys, who are not the best judges most of the time.
You ,my dear friend are a part of this "arrangement"...you derive a direct benefit from being able to tell your owners when to have a bet etc....that does NOT make this type of behavior right or ethical. NO argument can justify it.

And what gives one group the right to demand info from another ? Please show me that rule.

Thanks. Next time you have a good thing, please show same ethics and let everyone know first, before you have a bet.
Thanks. We wait...

I am almost certain there are many times that "information" is never disclosed to the public, and the gamble goes amiss by those in the know. Explain a springer that is punted from double digit odds into single digit odds, and arrives. In the post race interview, we are told the horse improved or was working well, do we the punter have a right to feel aggrieved? The short answer is no, like LouisG says, as a punter, you've got to recognise the trend, go with the flow, or simply stay out if you uncertain.
Question, assuming you "get on" and the horse wins, do you contact the trainer/jockey/connections and give them "a chop" - didn't think so.
This is a senseless thread, work it out for yourself as the punter because those in the know are also taking a gamble.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Debating this subject with you, Sir, is akin to debating the merits of being honest with say an ATM bomber that consistently rakes in 500k a month from the said activity.
I am not going to convince either !!!
Good luck, and long may things continue as they are currently.

Sealegs, in years to come you will look back and say, what we all have at some stage or another. SCHOOL FEES are not cheap !
Hehe, all I can say is DB must have balls of steel to have a punt on anything MJ rides.

Good to know that Louis doesn't expect honesty on tellytrack.
Louis you are 100% wrong.
Rather refuse an interview than lie.
Misleading the public on a station run by the racing operators can never be excused.
Your attitude needs a reboot.

This is not the first time this has happened with Mj,the last time was with one off Bloombergs horse's a couple years ago, it was a Var baby, they put the public off on TV,and said owner wanted to have a bet.
