Precious Post in the begining - " Rob spot on. A true test for the other RA Directors and especially the NHRA as to how strong are their institutions .
A big precedent could be set here , with future enquiries etc. If the CEO can act like this then I can also do the same.
It did happen there is CCTV Footage, witnesses , and the Security Guards that broke it up .
A true test for Mr O'çonner and the other Directors and not forgetting The new Chief Executive officer - Mr L Barends .
Lets see if these leaders are going to lead by Example or by silence and try cover it up. Interesting times." Close quote
Mister A - I think we all agree with you or at least all the true Horse racing purists. -
The others - to me are in denial or have nothing to loose by the outcome of this. But oneday when we are watching Jooste run against Van Niekerk and the Shiek we will be happy and the game will be trully exciting.
You either get it or you dont.

Mr a makes some sound points about the boards power in removing an offending CEO. Jist to set the record straight, have a look at what can be done should the various boards have the courage to act against members who transgress:
1. HBO chief executive Chris Albrecht was forced out by Time Warner on Wednesday following his weekend arrest on suspicion of assaulting his girlfriend in Las Vegas.
Albrecht, who said Tuesday he was taking a leave of absence to regain control of his alcoholism, said a day later that he was resigning as chairman and CEO "at the request of the Time Warner.board"
2. Highmark Inc. on Thursday moved swiftly to temporarily replace its CEO when details of his love affair with a younger co-worker emerged in an assault arrest.
The arrest of Dr. Kenneth Melani, 58, of O'Hara comes at a critical time for the state's largest health insurer, which is seeking to build a nearly $1 billion medical services operation to compete with UPMC, Western Pennsylvania's dominant health system. Melani, who was suspended without pay by the Highmark board, has served as Highmark's public face since becoming chief executive officer in 2003.
Following emergency meetings by Highmark's board, the insurer announced last night that J. Robert Baum, a University of Maryland professor and Highmark's board chairman since 2005, was named interim CEO.
3. Patrick C. Henry, former CEO, Entropic
Head of the $207 million (revenues) San Diego company that makes semiconductors for home entertainment systems, Henry reportedly attacked “Beverly Hills Nannies” reality TV personality Ari Bellamar, dragging her by the hair and throwing her against a wall. When she tried to call 911 he grabbed her phone and shattered it against a wall. The two met online.
In June a Utah judge found him guilty of assault, fined him $400 and sentenced him to 40 hours of community service
Facing losses, the Entropic board dismissed Henry in November.
4. BRUSSELS (EJP)---The chairman of a trade union in the European Commission in Brussels, who physically assaulted another guest in a coffee bar and insulted her verbally in the belief that she was Jewish, was forced by his board to resign, The Brussels Times reported. The assault on the guest, an Italian woman who turned to be the head of a unit at the European Commission, was followed by verbal insults The incident took place in July.
Wouldnt it be remiss of the boards that Wainstein serve on to remain silent? Silence can only be seen as support of his actions

It's not what you know, but WHO you know! Disgrace that no investigation was even conducted! Unfortunately this sets a poor example for SA horseracing going forward! Way too many scandals in racing in this country! Well, at least we know that if anyone messes with you on a racecourse, we can have a full go at sorting the problem out! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

5 to 10 was the bet of the year - Got plenty doubles going.
Price now - 1 to 10
But Over The Air we live in hope that a "Man" will stand up amongst the different Bodies something for Justice and Truth.
No Leaders in NHRA - No Back Bone in the RA Board - They can not hold a disciplinary hearing against him.
Then we all praise Mike De Kock's positivity last week , What is there to be positive about.
Sounds like the NPA full of excuses dropping charges left right and centre. We are a corrupt society and will always be.

I remind you that Mr D. Peense was found guilty of assault for spilling his drink on the Honourable President Zuma at the Durban July.
The incident that occurred on Champions day is a lot more serious.
You have the RA CEO (who is also a director) that has physically assaulted a punter. It something to which you cannot turn a blind eye. The RA needs to show everyone that it is even handed.
Life is cruel - When one man controls racing .
I thought this was an industry made up of Thousands Not one Man, but Punters Moan , Owners Moan , Trainers Moan , Presenters Moan - Everyday single day
Then you watch Larry give out the Trophy in PE to Jet Explorer with the biggest smile on his face, as if he is untouchable.
Makes me want to Vomit.
