Im not a legal man nor do I necessarily agree with the side a or side b theory. One thing I will say is if the mystery man who got assaulted never surfaces it really should make no difference surely. The issue is not if Larry assaulted someone, this seems to be accepted because this happened in full public view. The issue is what the sanction will be because he assaulted a punter. I agree with what others have said, Larry has no justification regardless of what was said or done to him, the NHA have no choice they have to take further action because if they do not how can they take action the next time a fight occurs. Having said all of this, I repeat what I posted earlier, there will be no further action taken against Larry according to my very reliable sources.

So are there no CCTV's where the incident took place ?
I counted 5 cameras that could have captured the footage , the best angle being the footage of Betting world. - Are betting world going to provide footage I dont think so , they dont have to . All of a sudden the recording device will not work.
The two security Guards on Duty that stopped the fight work for the security company and need to protect their jobs. So this is a stale mate.
The only way other way is to subpoena all the owners/ trainers and jockeys in the Parade ring of the 9th and 10th race to gather information. There must be a witness out there.
Far to much work when we want to protect one of our own.
I agree he will not respond to the NHA ,but I am led to believe he has laid formal charges with the police(and civil would probably follow)
Those need to be settled before the NHA could "sweep", anything, as is suggested!

Is there a hearing or a charge ?
Is it internal, external ?
Will wait for an official statement ( not sure from who )?
So still non the wiser, but at least we have had a range of views on ABC
As opposed to the mystery punter who is under a family protection scheme ?

If the NHA don't enforce the rules here then its not only the next time a fight breaks out but then they can never enforce ANY other rule, who will obey a clearly biased body, this lack of industry leadership is doing mega damage to racing's image and the worst thing is the racing public can clearly see that there is no leadership, the action here or lack of will show if the HRA a joke organization or a regulatory body with authority. it sure was meant to be, but now EVERYONE can see what a few of us know as to how the game has really been run for many years, rules are not for the "in crowd", remember and never forget the as brother Rick told victimized racegoers "in this game its not what you know its who you know" sure there may be favors owed by buddies who helped buddies get into powerful positions but here the buddy buddy system is going to be tested, already the RA board has exposed itself as a weak board and a one man show by not having issued a timorous statement of any sort to end this ugly damaging time for a floundering racing game that depends on public support for survival, the entire RA board must be charged for bringing racing into disrepute for the delay in dealing with incident of their staff member/director/dictator?, yet the irony is that the very body who should be charging them are the HRA and they are just as guilty because of their lack of decisive action by not curbing this ugly incident and showing rule enforcement, its now becoming embarrassingly clear to everyone how people are abusing the industry for their own agendas, although many of us have know this for years
