Not talking from my pocket I really hope that MARINARESCO wins. It would be a really great exit for The Master. Thanks Mike for the many years of pleasure. I will never forget Bunter Barlow and Dunford. Your patience and magical work with Pocket Power will never be forgotten.

i see a major fan, so am i, unfortunately best price you will ever get was in the
july, heartbreaking to run second being the best finish by miles!
anyways, hope jock dont make the same mistake.
too right. I waxed lyrical about him before the July and was 99% sure he was as good as I thought but now after that run, I am 99% sure he is even better than I thought
to be honest dont think, how good he is was much of a secret after the demolition in the winter series.

^ to be fair, many doubted what he beat. and he was only rated a 96 I think.

Have to agree -it was obvious the connections thought he was good but I was one who believed they were probably overrating him (let's be honest it happens a lot)
His performance as best 3yr old finisher in the July certainly surprised me (I brassed all the 3 yr olds as I gave Abashiri no chance at the weights , but wasn't sure any of the other 3 yr olds were well off with him)
I certainly have had to reassess my opinion of Marinaresco!!!!

when one looks at the pedigree of Marinaresco, then you will have to believe that this horse will be better as a 4 year old and even better as a 5 year old, Silvano's get better with age, take Punta arenas for example....

Looks like Punta Arenas and Marinaresco to fight it out.
It's a farce that Punta did not get a run in the July- his MR was higher than most of the field.

Form means nothing at greyville, mambo and st tropez to fight out the finish

When it comes down to it at level weights an injured Abashiri was the best 3yo that ran in the July
MARINARESCO was closing down a slightly eased down The Conglomerate imo, and would have not got into the July picture if the race had been run over 1800m
No certainty from this draw

I think Abashiri was the best overall at the weights
