Hollywood Bets - Advice Needed!
8 years 1 month ago - 8 years 1 month ago
Hi Gents
Please find attached screenshots below;
I struck a bet on Supersport United in-running lastnight.
A few hours later I see I'd won and been credited with my winnings.
I then decided to strike a bet on Sunwolves game as seen below.
Again I'd won and funds had been credited into my account.
I start my gambling on Fridays and then withdraw all funds on Sunday mornings as I prefer to gamble on rugby.
I head to a HW branch at around 10:10am on Sunday just before Rapper Dragon runs in Champions Mile at Sha Tin.
A few minutes later I'm told by a HW staff member that my transactions are incorrect and I'll be contacted by a HW consultant in a few minutes.
I waited 35mins for a call, nothing.
In the interim I checked my HW balance to see that my bet had been cancelled.
I then sent a message to HW Whatsapp number at 10:45 as I had seen their status says their lines are down, still no reply.
It's now 11:35 and still no answer or response. I'm still shocked at what has occurred.
Can someone please advise what steps I should take with this?
Thanks

HI AJ
One of our In Running team will be contacting you shortly. The issue came about with the incorrect price of 14/1 on SuperSport Utd which was meant to be 0.14 (1/7).
They will be contacting you.
Thanks

Is that what you call lumping on?
I've seen bigger prices on in-running...
As for cashing-out at opening time comment;
I withdraw every Sunday morning if showing a +balance for the weekend.
I'll show you a screenshot of that too Gazza?

I wonder what HW would have said had your bet lost? Lol.. All the liability on the punter no matter which way the pendulum swings, win or lose.. If a consultant makes a mistake its my fault for not checking my ticket, if HW mucks up and gives me the wrong price, its still my fault.. :S

HW must just set a precedent here.. Because it happens more often than not, if I get a dodgy price, u can trust I will wait out the result, if u can cancel a ticket when it wins, u can cancel it if it loses for the same reason..

i would think if the bet lost then you would have a case with the Gambling Board if you could prove the odds were out by miles - Lets say you backed a horse at 20-1 but HW in error gave you 2-1 and you noticed it after the race - What's good for the goose is good for the gander as consensus is missing when the "contract" is bought by the punter

The bet was paid out at the correct price as per T's&C's.

Kyle, honest question.... While I dont argue that your pricing was wrong... How does hollywood then justify the price they "paid out" at? Especially if the event kicked off at the "incorrect price".... seen as your prices fluctuate as opposed to your opposition..
