Intresting comments from The Editor of SP on the publication of the results of the BT - Where will the barrier trials and their results be published?
Will Phumelela’s Computaform carry them?
Will Sporting Post re-design its formline presentation at own expense?
Will any other publication?
Did anyone ask?
A question to the National Racing Bureau revealed they were not aware of barrier trials at all, never mind including them in the National database.

We live in interesting times.

Answer to what is more important Barrier Trials or Sec Timing

Good question.
Barrier Trials are a solution to a perceived problem. But there are no numbers, no research to back up the need for barrier trials, and the expense of staging them.
Can the current simple, no-cost way of treating first timers in exotics be bettered?

The money has already been spent on sectional timing, the benefits of which are also not documented.
