kallis will definitely play at lords because he was fit enough to bowl yesterday.fyi albie morkel is injured and f du plessis went over as his replacement.rsa will hv to make a change with j rudolph opening with smith because i dont think alviro will be fit to play at lords.that leaves a opening for either bowler or batter but i think they will opt for a batter maybe faf at no.7

Frodo, we have to be careful this does not become a minute scrutiny of all the laws of cricket and incredibly boring lol :) but, I am pretty sure that on "referrals" by one of the teams then the 3rd umpire can only advise the onfield umpire, the ultimate decision rests with the onfield umpire and it his choice whether his original decision is overturned. He simply uses the 3rd ump to find out as much info as he can. This would have been the case with Smith and Petersen and based on the info supplied the onfield umpire changed his decision regarding Petersen but not Smith. Where an onfield umpire refers directly to the 3rd umpire, such as for run outs, stumpings, 4/6, etc then I think it becomes the 3rd umpire's decision (hence the light system or scoreboard as it is now directly announces if he's out or not out). That would have been the case with Rudolph.

Why did he put England back in... two reasons I guess... 1. on the off chance England would collapse and SA would win or 2. they would take a number of wickets and badly dent the confidence of the England batsmen going into the 3rd test.

As for Lords... I always want to see the best players out there, I hope they all make it (tu) Support is one thing, appreciating quality from anyone of any nation is another.

Anyway... whats your best for the Vaal sand today... rushing off to see if you have posted it yet!! >:D<

there is a very small chance of pieterson not playing at lords...if he is unfit them faf could be an option with ashwel prince (he scored a hundred over the weekend in england)...what will count against prince is that he is a lefty

Ladies beach vollyball is now my official fav sport although there is a gap for improving the sport like playing with wet tee shirts (well we must let them still keep some of their dignity) and also maybe they can replace the briefs with thongs.

KP in trouble for Proteas SMS

London - England’s selectors have delayed their decision to include Kevin Pietersen in next week’s final Test at Lord’s until they discover the content of SMS messages he made to South Africa’s players during the second Test at Headingley.

According to The Telegraph website, Pietersen is alleged to have SMSed Dale Steyn and AB de Villiers during the match with less than complimentary things about Andy Flower’s management style and Andrew Strauss’s leadership.

K P has apolagised and made himself available for all forms of cricket for england.im glad he did this because now there will be no excuses for rsa taking away the number1 spot in test cricket.i wonder wat type of wicket the english will prepare for lords, because they havent yet managed to take 20 wickets in a match in this series.
