What a mess... this is a bail hearing, not a trial for fruitcakes!!!
State must ascertain, is OP a flight risk??? if so, why???
Based on the above, bail granted or rejected. If OP flees then he's guilty but if he remains it doesn't prove he's innocent.
At this very moment in what I call a "bail applcation trial hearing" the state is completely at a loss for words, so massive amounts of our tax money will now have to be spent on trying to fix a few statements made today.
State : Claims pre-meditated murder - okay granted - based on what???
State : Evidence provided - shocking!!! to say the least - state are in BIG trouble...
State 0 / Defence 1 - A BIG 1
My personal opinion : Doesn't really matter, but if innocent then may he be proven so... however if gulity I hope he rots in the deepest pits of hell!!!
Just for the record.... I think he's so GUILTY it's a joke...

I think OP is guilty as sin
For the Steenkamp Family's sake I just hope this bail hearing and court case are not drawn out for longer than nessasary

I have a sneaky feeling even in the trial Oscar is gonna get off...I don't think the prosecution team are good enough to beat his defense advocates and lawyers even with all the evidence they have! Shows one what money can buy..

I am still puzzled as to why this is being cited by the Prosecution as a pre-meditated murder.
The Oxford English dictionary defines pre-meditation as follows: Characterized by deliberate purpose, previous consideration, and some degree of planning.
That definition seems way wide of the mark here. A crime of passion, as suggested by Mr H. is surely what it was but it seems the defence is looking to go for broke.
Whatever the outcome, one life has been snuffed out and the other is in tatters. All very sad.

Agree. I dont think its premeditated.............i think it's a murder out of passion...............and like Titch, i think there was something in the lines of an sms or a phonecall that ticked OP off and he just snapped!

But premeditation does not have a time frame, you can plan in a few minutes, hour, day, month etc....??

Guys, who has ever said the prosecution and the cops are good at what they do. We may have the best guys on the job we have avaialble, but they get paid 50k a month and Oscars guy gets 50k a day. Surely Oscars guy will work harder?????
I think he'll get bail, hand in his passport, hand in his guns and will face charges of culpable homocide. Best they can prove based on what we heard today
We still have to see what the forensic experts come up with
I think he is a murderer, but I am not the judge
