Clearly "runs" is a cricketing term ,not a description!

Because they are deemed to be a bowlers fault.........byes and leg byes are deemed to be the wicketkeepers fault, but doesn't have any figures to penalize..
P.S. I think this argument is totally irrelevant to the original argument.....
It was a rhetorical question
A rhetorical question is a question that you ask without expecting an answer...........so count yourself lucky for getting the correct answer anyway........

If you clever guys cant reach consensus how the hell can an average punter with his R10 understand his bet ? I maintain these bookies create a grey area always to their advantage never the punters. t's and c's   piss off !! I have and will always maintain, the best thing for horse racing is to start by getting rid of all bookies. Most contribute bugger all to racing but enjoy milking the system. Before you throw the fixed bet at me, how easy can that be remedied by the tote laying this bet as well.

There are pages and pages of posts over the years calling for Saftote to apply to include a fixed odds section to the tote (system models exist as a fixed price tote is a betting exchange) ...even the special investigation commissioned by the dept of trade and industry confirmed that (correctly stating they were both facilitating "person to person" gambling)
There are already contracts in place between Phumulela and Betfair so a JV on systems would seem the way to go!
I'm not sure "P" understand the concept (or want it ) as they are buying up bookmaker businesses instead .....is that because none of that income is allocated to funding local racing, whereas fixed odds tote would be bound by existing allocations and agreements!
Perhaps the RA should be asking these questions?

I would like to compliment Hollywood for all the trouble they went to in tracing a missing deposit of mine ( small amount as I'm not a big punter anymore!).
Special mention of Tyla, for really investigating a problem that appears to have been between 2 Banks ( nothing new.). Thanks to Dev and KyleHolly for continually following up....... :cheer
Wishing you all a Super 2017.............

The question is than if a bet had been struck indicating the number of runs a team wins by would then the technicality of byes come into play based on the extras the logical answer in no . Won by 4 runs would be the answer.the honest outcome of the 1st delivery was that 4 runs were accumulated as the bet does not specify that the runs should materialise from the bat.in all honesty at the very least the bet should at the very least should have been refunded.

Uodate:
So HOllywood suspended and closed my account without even a refund
Based on the forums comments it remains your decision whether thats a fair outcome to the average punter or not given the imo clear confusion not being specific this has made. Imo bookies cannot treat every punter as a professional punter and they need to man up and take responsibility of their priduct offering...the market is NOT a one horse race so I can decide where my money is safer...
