After race two it struck me like a brick -- all the chatter on the racing channels, the hot betting moves, the whispers all tend to lead you away from what is clearly evident on paper. It's almost as if there is an entire industry setup to mislead the punters.

I am now firmly resolved, never to look at the tote board, racing sites channels etc, until after I have made my selections.

What a day - I really expected the same trappy nonsense that was dished up before - but the races were mostly nice a fast, true run.

I must really thank Tony -T and that's I suppose one of the reason's for being on this forum -- to get better. Forced me to make those commitments, and I also identified a real negative that stopped me from selecting my own choices outright

Sadly, I will not have the luxury of time that I had today for some time again - it's really nice to be able to really spend some unpressurized time evaluating the card.
