I find it quite strange that Fayd''Herbe is on Oh Susanna - is 57 not a bit light for him ?

The field may end up quite small - barring mishaps, the first 4 seems pretty much a forgone conclusion ?

I think quite possible that the Eagle does not run - unless the field cuts up and they fancy a slow pace - Uncle Bill Prestage might get quite few calls enticing him to run Milton though :huh:

If you go to sahorseracing.co.za and choose "public" you can see all the noms etc.

The Met costs R45k plus VAT by the time you do final acceptance on Monday 14th- the stakes now give R50k to those running 6th-10th, so you get a free run if you are in the top 10.
Snaith generally does his acceptances early- he has accepted with Made to Conquer (Khumalo) as well as Do It Again and Oh Susanna, so presumably won't accept with the others he has nominated.
I expect the other definite runners to be Rainbow Bridge, Legal Eagle, Head Honcho, Kampala Campari, and Eyes Wide Open. Lady in Black would do better to go for the Majorca where she only has Snowdance to beat. I don't think Undercover Agent stays the trip but they might have a go. I would thus expect 10-12 runners . I agree that it would be great to have Milton run to ensure an honest pace.
