The trifecta now looks like Do It Again/ oh Susanna/ Rainbow Bridge with Head Honcho and Legal Eagle and possibly Eyes Wide Open for minor money.

I would get Striker on the plane

According to an article on Turf Talk, looks like Marcus might be on Rainbow Bridge.

So Marcus now on Rainbow
Domeyer Kampala Campari
De Melo Head Honcho
Picture is getting clearer as in this type of race the jockey is very important
Strydom is interesting

Do you think the antipost price of 12/10 is fair on Do it again?

in my opinion scheduling has fcuked the cape season now.
this field may have a few of the top with their very very high MR running but they will be lucky to have 12 runner for this years Met

Bass Yard Not repesented

Interesting  support for both Undercover Agent and Legal Eagle on WSB's Ante-Post - UA shortened to 15/1 and LE to 16/1 - sure they were both at 20's or higher before

Both these horses UA and LE are probably better suited to a 1600 and find the 2000 a bit far
so once again it could depend on the pace early on
RB and DIA will thrive on a fast race
I will wait for final acceptors

I agree with elmer - although Undercover Agent my yet prove effective over the trip  . In the case of the Eagle I have always maintained that he is as effective over 2000 as 1600 - he won the SA Derby after all - but his record over 2000 over the years have proved me wrong - so imo he won the Derby on class and he is definitely better over 1600

The question is if Do It Again will shorten further after the final field is unveiled - and my guess is that he would probably start at the same odds - if Milton makes the field, it should mean that there would be a genuine pace and DiA might start shorter - if Milton is not in the field, I still think that Kampala Campari will ensure that they go at a reasonable pace - so I'm guessing that the lack of pace won't be an issue this year and that the chances of the 'milers' like Undercover Agent and Legal Eagle are not that great

......with all the finagling and jockey swoping running up to to the race.....and then the tactics in the race itself.....I for one will be looking for a spook this year.....
