The CTS 1600 looks a toss up between One World and Twist O Fate ?

Some cracking races on the card, hopefully my selections won't have to go through the process of having a shoe refitted at the start. That seems to be happening more frequently lately.

I also find it to be a cracking days racing and have no problem with the MET having 13 runners.
Following UK races over the years both flat and jumps have often watched small quality fields .......and the size of the fields seldom detract from the spectacle of the big day

Good punting

I just find that a bigger field adds to the occasion - like the July - but I agree the field does not lack in quality - I thought there would only be 10 or so runners - so 13 maybe not that bad - looks a two horse race though, with maybe another 3 capable of finding the top 4

.....was on the money last year could read the race as soon as it was carded.....yet this year I'm going as wide as possible....as the Met is known to throw some shockers because of misread tactics.....Alistor for one......Yogas/Mrs Platner's charge (name escapes me) did not even know it was in the race.....the tactics are about pace and this year Milton with soft hands Simmons is the pace but will most probably become a chicane when it matters most.....or if they do not send him up for a change and throw a spanner in the works.....

......knew it was a raptor of sorts.....was thinking of a Falcon though.. ...a race best forgotten but think the same owner may be in with a squeak this year if one of them is sent to lead with or without Milton....

I think those days we had some 'strange' results as it was not a WFA race - these days things look much more straight-forward - but I agree about the Plattner coupling - I suspect Kampala Campari is in the race to ensure a decent pace (they made a fall-back plan should Milton not run) - anyway we will see next Saturday

.....I really liked Rainbow Bridge and think 10 furlongs is right up his alley......but with the jock swop and used the word finagling in reference to abandoning LE.....superstitiously I look elsewhere and my other fav last years winner is not for Bernie as he can be a little too "heavy" .....the South American long shot is a miler in my book and seems to have his mind on his next career and seems to like is better in the pens than out.....however if he gets a whiff of the filly who knows what he will do......

If you’re just looking for a nice price with most of the boxes ticked then fitting that bill should be Head Honcho.
