Thanks bud. And yes, today England ruled the roost, thought SA bowled well. I think the match in general though was comprehensive proof that if England had taken their catches this summer then they would not only have won the last one-dayer and be 2 up but they would clearly have also won the test series 2-1, SAs batting is obviously very weak unless given chances. Now, even though people think they know I'm joking, watch for the responses! >:D<

yes we lost the 1day game and to be fair england were the better team on the day,but like i said previously to me its obvious that proteas 1day team is not quite the finished article with a couple of players not good enough to be in the squad let alone in the starting line up.im sure selectors and coaches dont rate this england team at all, to be fielding such a poor proteas team and quite frankly it shows disrespect on our part.some of our superstar players are clearly not performing up to there usual standards and in particular ab,who i rate as 1 of our best odi players ever.im sure the proteas will bounce back on sunday and even with this team, we should completely demolish england with ease.

I think SA was over-confident (note the shot that AB got out with), and imo England (except for Morgan) really made heavy weather of chacing a very moderate score.

I predict that SA will easily win the next 2 games (weather permitting) as the English batsmen (again with the exeption of Morgan and maybe Bell) can't score enough runs quickly enough- and I'm not joking :D

I also can't understand this idea of having 'specialist' one day players (with a few exceptions) - Kallis needs to be in the team and Alviro Peterson has made plenty of runs in local limited overs cricket - as for England, I am thankful that they think that Kieswetter is a better option than Pryor

Boring England 4 hours to bowl 50 overs. Surely Cook must get an enforsed holiday. (td)

lol ... and if he doesn't get a wk and slip or two that can catch I think he might well take a voluntary one!

Lol maybe we don't want him to have a holiday either, it will take away our cheap wicket. >:D<

well done Englander good win by the poms.cost me plenty as i had trebles, doubles and a 5 team all on just waiting for proteas, but it wasnt meant to be.my only winning bet was the double arsenal onto utd and even that was in jeapody but 1 thing i can always count on is utd to get me out of trouble.lol.

Think you got the demolition the wrong way round mate...lol But, really, on days such as these a lot depends on the toss, the sad thing for SA was they (with the help of England's inability to hold a catch again) seemed to weather the early part and then threw it away. Middle order needs some serious surgery or mental strength. Not much of a game though really.

Like you say Englander, not much of a game, or not for the spectators anyway. England seems to have cottoned on to to SA's favourite tactic which is to slowly strangle the opposition. Gives an almost risk-free win but is a long jaw-cracking yawn for onlookers.

I'm not surprised though that England have fought back. Back in July when I was in Cambridge, and SA had just smashed Team Britain in the first Test by an innings plus, I was chatting to an old Brit (a retired schoolteacher and a lover of test cricket). He was feeling pretty rueful and bemoaning this and that, but I told him with confidence that England would come back.

Well, it took a bit longer than I expected but now they have done so, and Cheers! to them all. I like their spirit and refusal to be just walked over.

Playing at home served England well here, the SA batsmen just never looked comfortable on the pitch - the way they were struggling made me think that 220 was a winning score - but not to be.

Congratulations to England, they were by far the better side on Friday and yesterday.
