Maybe my maths is not very good but going on Bokked's figures the % of favourites winning maidens and juvenile maidens at Greyville is 51.5% against 46.5% at Clairwood.:S

Maybe I'm not qualified to comment on this topic, but looking at it logically how can replacing a fair track (by most people on here's judgement) with a track where the draw is going to be THE factor deciding the outcome of a race, be a good thing?
It's like selling Newmarket all over again

Frodo, even down the straight there can and normally is a draw bias. Everyone wants to be up the outside at Clairwood and down the inside at Scottsville at the moment. The point is that even with all the races around the turn and a shorter straight Greyville is producing 5% more favourites winning than the so called fairest track in SA. Be interesting to know figures from all the races at the 3 courses.

At the moment it is worse to be drawn on the inside over 1000m 0r 1200m @ Clairwood than it is to be drawn Wide @ Greyville...

I know there is a draw bias at Clairwood and Scotsville - but unless proven stats can show otherwise, imo it is more favorable being drawn 1 over the Clairwood straight than being drawn wide (10 or worse) over the Greyvillle 1000, and 1200 (and 1300 and 1400 and 1600)
Also I don't think one should too much creedence into the 'favourite winning %' - where were those winning favorites at Greyville drawn ?
Just my opinion
But where were those winning

From the begining of August untill the last Clairwood meeting only 2 horses that ran over 100m in a field of 12 horses or bigger only 2 horses drawn 8 or less have won...in seems a bit better over 1200m but not much
