Englander ,I thought you were in favour of identifying Them/Us situations..............those that play on the tipping threads and the leeches????

There are long term outstanding issues in racing which definitely need to be confronted for the sustainability of local racing. If those in charge are prepapered to engage on the basis of real identities, then that is what must be done. Go for it

i completely disagree for 1 reason only
that it can be read by anyone.
For me this is about engagement with people that "CLAIM" not to engage because they dont know who they are being attacked by....
so for this to work 2 things have to happen
1: all those that have been attacked in the past have to be members
2: it cannot be read only so that people "only " join when something they disagree with is written and apart from that they contribute ZERO
example
Larry should be an active member as there are many questions directed at the RA as well as some praise
that it can be read by anyone.

Easy,an example is that I have had private phone calls giving explanations of some of my posted concerns.............because I post in my name!
I don't mind if the responses are in the form of mails to Bob,which he then posts!
Better than Nothing mate.

No Rob, I care not whether they are called Andy Pandy or use Humpty Dumpty lol
it is the fact they never contribute anything and just use the knowledge of others without giving anything back that annoys me about the "leeches". I openly admit to using other's knowledge here and I am very grateful to many for their posts and I try to repay some of that with my jottings etc, which really don't take much knowledge as they are simply dissecting available information.
As there is seemingly a reluctance to answer let me say this, I think a lot of the reason some want to use names is so they know who is attacking them etc should that happen. And that only really applies if it is someone else within the industry. I am sure they would not care if my name is Englander or Prince Harry if I did so. But, if it is Trainer A saying it about Trainer B then it is different and it no doubt would then become personal... and what happens, they turn this place into a slag-off centre between them and I don't want that. I am sure I could have explained that better but I hope I get my point across. This should be a place for discussion etc not for personal vendettas and I see that happening more and more if names are used. Why can't trainers/owners etc can't do as the Shams, Craig, Louis etc do? And why can't the RA or NHA or Phumelela or wherever have an appointed representative similar to Dev?

Englander, I am one of those people who believe that what I write is true as far as I can be after 35 years at the coal face of racing. If Mike De Kock says I am wrong in something I write about training and horses, then I will listen very carefully but if a pseudonym calling himself/herself XYZ says I am wrong then I don't listen at all. He/She could live in Blikkiesdorp and have never been to the course and never worked with a horse/racing and their related problems etc and here they are telling me I am wrong. Maybe just me but if I am going to take an opinion seriously, I want to know that that person actually really knows something. Rob is right, I know many people who will not post as they will not entertain being abused etc by pseudonyms. Using your real name also means you are prepared to stand by your statements.

Phumelela did have a representative on the forum at one stage, but unfortunately she was to junior to answer the questions....

Craig
You sorta know who i am so my question is a follows
Is it plausible that what you gained in 35 years I can gain in 35 minutes?
Because after all this is only semantics now and FOR SURE this belief that because someone is on the coal face they carry more credence than someone that is not is not a belief i subscribe to. I am not stirring , i am merely stating what i believe to be correct.
You say you will listen to MDK, what about Danny Gonzalves?
