For example MArco Botti is only 36 years old and already he is a top class trainer.

I have no interest in putting my name into the public arena, once there it is always there, especially for a hobby, i actually have a real life....
I have revealed my name before and unfortunately for me it is now and forever will be on the internet associated with a conversation on this forum, not that i do not want to be associated with the forum but i cannot have information about my personal life floating around the internet. I do not in anyway want to hide from any statement i make and i do not attack people personally but horse racing is a hobby and both my company and myself are often researched as i have many international partners, there is no way that i will have conversations from this forum next to my company or my business profile for people to read.
There are members that know me & have met me, Hibs knows who i am and that is sufficient for me. There are members that constantly make statements or attack other members without much thought going into what they are saying so i totally understand what Craig is saying but i also do not believe that there is going to be a flood of the who's who of racing contributing because people are using their real names...
If the invitation is to set up an "inner circle" for tipping then by all means go ahead, set the criteria for entry and the membership will speak for itself.

Easy, some people have made statements on this forum under the guise of opinion that are blatantly a load of Sh!t and they know absolutely nothing. If I know who I am dealing with it would make a difference in how much credence I gave to the statement. Anyone who works with horses everyday will tell you that you learn something new about horses or your own horses everyday. Sometimes something small and sometimes something bigger. I can drive a car quickly but would never believe that I could go and tell Kimi how to drive or my accountant how to do his books etc.

I would have stayed in the UK instead of coming back here to go on my own if I did not have the confidence I could do it!

Craig. I side with Easy. I also sympathise with what you say about those without the knowledge being negative or whatever but surely that is part and parcel of your job, of any job? There will be those who compliment and those who detract. When I worked at the backpackers we had over 90% approval rate but that does not mean that a few did not absolutely tear me apart (the farking barggers!! lol) but it made no difference to me if they were knowledgeable in the industry or just another guest. I took on board what they said and considered its merits and acted accordingly based upon my conclusions.
I think Soodum, Mav, Tigershark have all given excellent reasons why real names are not the best idea for all, if Pirates wants nothing to do with me from now on then that would be disappointing but so be it. Again, with no disrespect intended to anyone, I have yet to read what I consider a good reason (with justification) in favour of it. Despite what you have said Craig and just trying to be honest, I see no real justification why those you speak of will not join for that reason alone, it seems very "limp" to me. Just my opinion.
Bob... lol, you daft farker

I think we might be making a mountain out of a mole hill
I would guess that maybe 4/5 posters are outspoken and make personal comments that causes the "bad press" and external pressure.
My suggestion would be to request details from these individuals name and cell number and carry on as is.

I agree, especially when one has a unique name that when googled ties one into threads from this and other racing sites.....not that my name is that unique.....in fact when one googles my name it is not found as a name at all...... as it turns out to be an action of mugging foreigners.....hence I came up with a unique "handle" and spelled it to get that "branding" effect that when googled ties it into racing websites like this and the old Freeracer and others.....:S
